Very well done. Excellent walkthrough with examples and alternatives. I also appreciate the research by popular opinion prior to this filming. Makes me feel like I’m not just blindly trying to build a failure. Thank you Sir!
Slight change to project for Iphone 6s Plus. Offset phone holder placement so that there will be equal amount of sound down each channel. The speaker on the Iphone is on the lower right side.
Great little project thanks. However my iPhone X has a speaker on the front top centre and the other (for stereo) bottom edge to the right. So I’ll have to modify the design to get full stereo effect and put the phone in sideways.
Hi John, that'd be an interesting adaptation. It's funny; I have an iPhone X and didn't even realize that it had a top speaker until you just mentioned it. :) I'd love to see what you come up with.
Great video, very thorough and easy to understand explanation. Thanks. Only one problem for me. I can't read the dimensions of the walnut pieces. It's too blurry
I just solved my "too blurry to read" problem. I changed my settings to HD and now I can read the dimensions easily. Thank you for sharing your project!
Thanks for the feedback! Here you go: Top Plate: 2" x 11.25" x .5" Front/Back: 3.25" x 11.25" x .75" Base pieces (before angled cuts): 2" wide x 2.25" tall x 5.25" long
Great video! Do you have any suggestions on how to cut the block for someone who doesn't have access to a band saw? Could it be safely done with a miter saw? Thank you.
Thank you for sharing! Great project! Thinking of building one but still unclear on several details. Is this amplifier for phones with two bottom speakers? The phones I've seen had only one speaker on bottom right.
Thanks for the nice feedback. It should work well with any phone that has at least one speaker on the bottom. Doesn't require two on the bottom. It will amplify the sound out both directions from a single speaker.
Great instructional video. I have seen several videos of this particular project, this one is the best I have seen by far.
Thanks Luis🙏 !

It works on a 12” miter saw. Handsaw would work fine as well.
@@ToolMetrix Thank you.
Taper sled on a tablesaw will work also.
Great suggestion thank you 🙏
