I am lost for words (cause I am from the Netherlands), so I can hardly describe how I am blown away by the skills you have in all those different disciplines. The patience until the roof was closed with all those tiny pieces. That fine “TELEFONE” letters cutting on the Lexan, fine sculpting for the Royal Coat Of Arms, and that both four times. And of course the Carpenter skills in general that made every single piece of wood fitting exactly and almost seamlessly to the next piece, and on difficult angles. Almost every action impressed me, because I have made just a few things myself and know what skills and talent you need to accomplish such a beautiful Telephone booth. @@jody1skinobe314 Yes, but you need to reapply the p*ss monthly for a few years for the odour to go stale and truly linger. Also, for the authentic EX BT phone box look, he needs to take a blow torch to the paint to make patches of it bubble off, then lightly scrape the worst of it before repainting it with the thickest paint he can find. After he's done that 15 to 20 times and it'll look just like an original 1930's box that was bought in the 1980's/90's when BT was selling loads of them off (And when Antony was busy getting his "Ology". :D).

This is an Art-Tube. Always lifts my spirit, and leaves me in awe of your creativity and your abiity to make beauty out of stuff that most people would just chuck in the bin. Sincere thanks for what you do, and the way you capture it on video.
Has anyone ever told you that you look a lot like 80s film director John Hughes? You could be his twin. All kidding aside, you, like my father, had/ had a jig for everything . He was a welder/fabricator/machinist/wood worker and literally had to build an addition to his garage just to keep all of his jigs. I subscribed right away. I've seen a lot of talented wood workers on her. However, I've never seen talent like yours. Great video. Great job 👍
An amazing video that brings back a lot of memories. I started my PO Telecoms apprenticeship (later to become BT) in 1975. One of the rites of passage was to do a few weeks on phone box maintenance which basically meant going round clearing all sorts of detritus from the coin slots, handset and door handles. Monday mornings were worst and the regular offenders were: used condoms, faeces (human & animal), underwear, foreign coins and chips. Phoneboxes near schools were worst for fake emergency calls and inner city boxes were favourites for finding someone curled up asleep who'd missed the last night service. Happy days!
What a job! It's made me also curious about what the originals were made of - were they wood based? Where were they made? Questions... edit: Just to answer my own questions, cast iron and Scotland!
@@sroberts605 Yes, cast iron. Very, very solid. I've seen a few where a lorry's smashed into one and come off worst. Wasn't aware they were made in scotland.

Yes, but he has a thickness planer. If he tried to make this w/o that device, it would take a year (and trust me, I'm saying from experience). So if he's saved 11.5 months already, he can turn a screw by hand...

Absolutely wonderful, but am I the only one who would have liked to have seen it finished without the paint, just a nice wood finish?
Enjoyed to see a very talented and creative woodworker. 👌
Thanks :)
I'm speechless, man you have literally golden hands. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
That was a build on another level. Absolutely stunning show of craftmanship.
No laser cutter. No CNC router. Just 1 man at ease with his tools.
Wow. I am absolutely amazed, not just at the craftsmanship but also at the level of detail that went into the design. Probably one of the best RUclips'rs I have ever watched
Stunning. Live long and prosper in your gift
Outstanding project with 100 percent attention to detail
My 4 year old daughter and I just watched this. Amazing work! She guessed what it was before me haha. We visited London last year and she thought this was awesome.
Best K6 I've seen in decades. Rght down to the distinctive handle and crown. A pity they're long gone now. Iconic upcycling.
There are still a few about.
@@JoeBloggsRUclips True. There's a flower stand on the main road a couple of kilometres fro here. But as telephone boxes they no longer exist, except for the unaltered set of K-boxes in the British Museum.
@@tardismole there are some that are still phone boxes.
I've seen them in the small villages near me.
@@Mr_Jamin007 We lost our last one here in 2020. And it had sat there disconnected for at least five years before that. I've not even seen one of those newer silver monstrosities since 2013, either. We live in a moutainous area. Mobile signal is lost all the time here, so we used to rely on the public telephone in a crisis. Not any more. Glad you still have yours, though.
@@tardismole they probably can't keep up with the constant vandalisation of them.
Phone boxes are becoming very rare, the only ones near me are in the town centre and along the promenade.
Wow! Just incredible patience and attention to detail, and the whole build presented in a humble and unpretentious way. By far one of the best RUclips makers.
Lovely, clean well organised work shop.
Omg, tears of joy for the massive amount of pleasure and satisfaction I received watching this (knowing how much more joy 1 man got for having an idea, planning, time to follow through, skill, and effort AND NO SHORTCUTS). Dear Lord, I pray that I'll get to experience this one day!
Wow! As somebody who struggles to put together furniture even with the instructions, this was incredible. The attention to detail was very impressive. I’ve subscribed.
Very very talented and inspiring, like the comment said, I wished I lived next door. The workshop wow, awesome every person's desire for one like that. 💯%🙏 Love & Respect from Rocklands, Mitchells Plain,South Africa
Thank you 🙏❤
Do you ever just look at your builds and say “damm I’m good!” Prob not you are too humble!! Thank you Jason for another beautiful piece of art!
Thr ight tools for the right job with the right skills to use them and the creativity to come up with the idea in the first place! It was a pleasure to watch such a craftsman at work.
Beautiful shop ! The drawers are incredible
Thanks very much :)
You are an artiste! You have seemingly mastered every style, design, construction, and finishing technique that I am flabbergasted…..no, gobsmacked! You deserve a medal for all your achievements over the last few years of your you tube channel adventures. No, wait! Maybe a knighthood! After all you did reconstruct a facimilie of the royal crest….and it looks super impressive!
I so wish you were nearby and needed an apprentice.
From far, far away in northwestern Ontario, Canada. KUDOS.😁
Thanks for your wonderful comments :)
What supreme talent, patience and eye for detail. I love watching your work, it gives me a great sense of peace, yet green with envy as i would love a workshop like that... It has always been my desire for when I retire.... Alas I lost everything when my wife passed away.... Never mind who knows whats around the corner? Keep working your magic.
I was admiring all of the wooden tool/knick-knack drawers all over that shop...
I think I know now who made them all. 😊
Beautiful work! Thank you!
Thanks very much :)
I have seen too many to mention very skilled craftsmen on RUclips. You, sir, are definitely the best ever. The phone box was a work of art.
Thanks very much :)
Oh No! The Orange (Triton?) belt sander has finally shufled off it's mortal coil? Who would attempt to build a Post Office phone box out of pallet wood and WHY??? Simple. It's art.
Great job 👍
Thanks very much 👍🙂
An amazing video that brings back a lot of memories.
This man is the real deal beautiful job sir and god gave you a gift from heaven
You are phenomenal!!! That's gorgeous!
I have to smile every time I see you swipe a cut section with your hand or fingers. I get a splinter, figuratively speaking.
I instantly repelled my hands from the table when he felt the metal hole he had just made. If I made that thing, I had cut my fingers bloody.
There are no words, all I can say is wow!
There is one word: AstoundingAwesomeBrilliantBreathtakingEpicGreatInsightfulKickAssLegendaryMasterfulSensationalStellarToDieForUnforgettable.
@@MrFoxRobertWow, that was stupendous. I don't know if you added that one. This man has an amazing talent. I don't know what employment he had, but if this was a hobby, then his boss must be very happy with his job at work. 😊😊❤❤

@@MrFoxRobert LOL, a new 'longest word in the English dictionary'
The man is screwing screws manually, with a screwdriver. Damn, I forgot that this was even possible. 👏
Yes, but he has a thickness planer. If he tried to make this w/o that device, it would take a year (and trust me, I'm saying from experience). So if he's saved 11.5 months already, he can turn a screw by hand...
The silent craftsman!!! What a joy. Thanks and keep the projects coming.
Superbly crafted!! Purchase a paint sprayer. Makes a difference. Love it!!!
The level of construction and craftsmanship that has gone into this project is outstanding, it fascinates me how someone can think of something then bring that thought into existence in a way that is so professional is just wonderful to watch.
That roof alone, WHAAAAATTT!
Agree!!!
Exactly what I said! Its a masterpiece by itself
A great piece of craftsmanship Jason. If it was put outside. I wonder how any people would think it was real
Thanks Paul :)
This guy has a gift his hands are amazing creative and inventive it’s a rare giving gift to have.
That is a another 'marvelous' job my friend! Jason, it is always a joy to watch your videos. I could watch you work for hours. I am anxiously waiting for the next project.
Thanks very much :)
Gosh, I was just mesmerised watching you make an old phone box. Love watching art being made. And from pallets! 😂❤👍
Thanks 🙂♥️
If ever I find myself in need of a "TARDIS" I know where to look. Simply outstanding.
