Yammy did you ever hear the story about Kenny Noye paying to have fairground rides go into Blantyre House prison? Early 90’s, Kenny was there finishing off his 14 for handling the brinks Matt gold. My dad, Bob was there finishing off half of a 10 year sentence, he was one of Eddie Richardson’s co D’s in Eddies big drugs case in the late 80’s. The prison agreed to let Kenny pay 5k to have fairground rides brought in on the football pitch for the prisons work with local disabled/disadvantaged kids. My dad told me Kenny agreed to pay if the fairground could stay an extra day for an open day for prison families the next day. It was a mad experience at 16 yrs going to prison to visit my dad and zipping about on these rides 😂 My dad passed away 20 yrs ago now but met a lot a people you talk about. Pat Tate was also at Blantyre towards the end of my dad time there. Listening to your videos kind of makes me feel close to my dad again. Keep up the good work and stay safe 👍🏼
I went to a Father’s Day fete type of day at Blantyre house prison, I was also thinking it was crazy that I was visiting someone in prison and there was a catering firm in doing hog roast, other foods drinks entertainment for kids ! Clowns etc a photographer taking pic of the family, getting shown around the prison by my dad, I was well happy my old dad had it cushy there, but I’d be fuming if some cunt had harmed my family and they was there, 2 sides to each situation
Yammy is the man to tell you that mate, I was just a teenager visiting my dad. Obviously Pat wasn’t anywhere near as notorious then as he became after his death and the films etc. He arrived at Blantyre about 6 months before my dad was released. I visited him once a week, every Wednesday and saw Pat a number times. Just remember this man mountain bigger than any man I’d ever seen before with a huge smile to match his frame. Blantyre House was party central as far as I can gather from my dad stories about the place, very relaxed regime and I do know Pat partied in there as much as the rest of them. All prisoners in there were delighted to be there because they knew home wasn’t that far away. Never forget the day my dad was finally released.
