Same thing here. I was decent at the start of year 10 but went back to how I was in year 8 and 9 later on, didn’t pay attention and was easily distracted. I actually want to do well in year 11
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!! I was literally on the verge of giving up and for the past couple of weeks been procrastinating like CRAZY (liKe mAte StOp ProCRasTiNaTiNg) and you've given me hope that even tho there is less than 2 months left til exams, I can still do it 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Thank you!! I’m so stressed because GCSEs are so soon and although I’m not doing badly I’m not yet where I want to be but you’ve given me hope I can still improve ☺️
It's September and im in yr 11. My yr 10 movies was ATROCIOUS but this video was so helpful as a yr 11 student pray for me for my mocks by using these tips😛
I’ve always been considered academically gifted like id never revise but still get the best marks however that means that now in yr11 i have no idea how to start revising which was a main factor in my grades dropping to 7’s and 8’s in my yr 10 mocks. This was very helpful as teachers say what not to do when revising like reading text books but never how to actually revise productively and I feel far more confident with revising thanks to this video so thank you so much!
This is soo helpful!! Thank you soo much for doing this video- i found all the tips soo useful! 11:23 is a good tip, I’m afraid of revising the subjects that i hate, so you’ve changed my perspective on my revision plan (^^)
I genuinely could not thank you enough for this as I have been putting off revision for months so I have finally started and accepted that it will be best in the long run
At first I didn't know what the test was. GCS But after watching your video I started to understand that this is my first year in a foreign school. I am 11 year old. I did not know the lessons here because the curriculum I studied is different from the curriculum I studied here. Your clip also helped me.
If ur struggling with Subjects read this. 1. It depends on what class ur in and what subject/topic u learn that topic if ur struggle with it ask ur teacher for Question papers or make flash cards this for mainly for any subject 2. Teach someone about the specific topic understand the context. 3. If its easy bassed subject do flash cards and practice questions 4.Also if u have a book And want to read a topic about it Read it and close the book and remember how much u remember about that topic open the book and see what information u missed. 5. Never highlight ur notes or re reading ur notes. If u have notes break it into Flash cards or use anki Also do plenty practice questions about that topic. What I meant is re-reading is dont simply read the context and close the book and next is ur test and u forgot information. Try and read it and write down how much u remember about and then re-open the book and scan the book what information u missed 6. Discuss the topic with a family friend or anyone what u know what this subject and everything u knewThese things are Active recall what I said So next is Space repetition For an example u done a practice questions on The heart right u know everything about the heart u got like 80% information then the forgetting curve begins u start to loose information about the heart. By day 3 So every 3 days do some questions about the heart then the forgetting curve starts to decrease because u keep on remembering more until the point u know everything about the heart this an example Hope this helps Also BTW I sub to ur channel Plus if u want can u make a discord server for studying or chilling place
Hello how do I Improve in maths cause now I’ve been getting 7s and 6s and I want to push it to a 9. I think I’m struggling with problem solving a lot, what should I do ?
I always always recommend past papers and past paper questions. If your teachers are helpful, ask them for advice too but focus on questions which include problem solving and try to find common occurring themes and patterns. The more exposure and experience you have in trying to solve similar problems like these, the easier it will be for next time. Every time you don't get the answer fully correct, make sure you understand exactly how the markscheme does it! Also, read the examiner notes and report for each past paper, this gives you a great insight into common mistakes students make! Goodluck!
Same. I find English language really hard bcs I skipped yr 5, 6, and 7 so I missed a lot and it shows. All the other subjects are alright it's just English that I struggle with.
I have about 5 weeks left until my exams and I have to revise 8 subjects including just starting higher tier maths now do you think I have enough time to revise enough?
I’ve got grade 3 in geog and English and computer science and grade 6 for maths and biology 6 and chemistry 5 ,physics 5 and I’m in y11 is it possible to make it up right how ?😭 what’s like the best way to get up to 8s and 9s 😭😭😭😭😭
Do lots of past papers as alot of the questions will repeat and have very similar styles! Use a range of resources like videos, worksheets, textbooks etc and see what works
Hey I have been revising content since September, I came from knowing nothing in most subjects to get grade 5-8s in most of my subjects. The problem is now that I think that I am slipping up a bit especially with science as I think my exam technique isn't so great. Have you got any tips to get a better exam technique as I think that it is the main thing dragging me down as i know all the content. Loving your videos man keep pushing!
Thanks for the support! The main thing to improve exam technique is doing lots of past papers and really focusing on what the markscheme answers are. Look for all the key words used for each topic and answer and try to incorporate them into your answers. I would also recommend watching videos of people answering past paper questions as I found this really helpful to understand how they think too!
I'm going into y11 so thanks for this. I didn't make as many revision resources over this academic year as I would've liked, but I know the importance of resting to prevent burn out and completing (a lot of) my homework the school gave out. Do you have any tips on if I should make revision resources on y10 content while also doing my homework this holiday, since I don't want to be too stressed next year?
It depends on how you prefer to revise! I would try to keep up with school content so you don't forget the important stuff and maybe some exam practice but as long as you are doing something, that is great!
What sort of things should tou be doing for revision obviously active recall but then where do you get the information from and how would you apply it? Thank you
hey im in yr 11 and rn im getting 5s and 4s and 3s i really want to leave with at least 6s and 7s can i do it and how many hours should i be doing from now. i do 7 subjects
I made a video on making a revision timetable, check it out! It really depends on how much you do already and what you struggle on. Work on what you find the hardest
Hiii , I have a question in your timetable you include going back to chapters again ... do you think there is still time to do so? just one other question can I know what grades are dental schools looking for? I wish I've seen your channel a long time ago! your videos are really helpful! thank you so much
id like to ask in my option mocks for this year i keep on getting 8s and 9s, and i didnt do much revision for them, so should i keep on revising for them? I may be underestimating the real exam but i feel that i do not need to revise as much for these options.
Jaden, I need your help!!! I have my triple science mock exams which are going to be our predicted grades for when we apply to sixth forms/colleges I have done little to no revision and don’t have a lot of time to do all paper 1 stuff. How should I approach this? What methods should I use?
I would suggest reading over the basics and common questions that you will be asked. Look through as many questions as you can and read the markscheme to try and learn as much as possible. Do past questions and check if you got them right or wrong. Watch youtube videos teaching you topics and try to learn all the basics before going in depth if you have the time.
Try to learn quotes from each poem about structure and language. I would also watch Mr Salles and Mr Bruff videos on youtube including their full mark essays as you can get many interesting ideas from there.
do you have any advice for chemistry? im struggling so much with wrapping my head around all of it, it’s so so confusing. i just can’t seem to remember the information i need, urgh.
I made an a-level chemistry video and you can pretty much apply all of the advice I have given their to GCSE! I would recommend understanding the content first by watching youtube videos on it, then reading the textbook about the same topics you find confusing, and then doing flashcards/practice qus on it
chemistry is all about the fundementals tbh. learn the content in and out and then do lots of past papers. once youve done them repeat this with the same paper. this way you get an understanding of the mark schemes
Hope you enjoy! Tell me what future videos you want!

I'm in year 10 and I'm going to be in Y11 in 5 weeks. I have messed up year 10 so I wanted to make an academic comeback for myself.

Is there a website where I can take science, history and music past papers online?
For Science and History you can check your exam boards website to find past papers (Idrk abt music cuz im not taking it)
Hello ,
What was your specific technique to getting grade 9s with your timetable?
id like to ask in my option mocks for this year i keep on getting 8s and 9s, and i didnt do much revision for them, so should i keep on revising for them? I may be underestimating the real exam but i feel that i do not need to revise as much for these options.
bro you’ll be absolutely fuming when you don’t do as well and you know that you could have just revised more
I would revise as much as you can as you can never be too sure!
I’m really stressed about the exams? How do I deal with the stress
Probz boxing or running
Try taking regular breaks, focus on what you enjoy and try to make it an enjoyable process. Spend time away from studying and doing what you like
Is it possible to go from 3+ to 7 in 2 months
Tbh I hardly tried for the mock neither did I revise
If you learn the content and do practice then I would definitely say it is possible.
