      I remember reading a story where there were characters who were the personification of virtues, but they were also the personification of sins. Each virtue had a positive side and a negative side, and they were both of these things. For example one of them was called Pride. Her positive side was called Confidence and her negative side was called Ego. The one that is relevant to your comment was called Passion. Her positive side was called Love and her negative side was called Hate.

    I ADORE this movie. It proves that you can still do Batman in a humorous way, and LEGO is the perfect format to do it. And the movie still manages to go into some depth regarding Batman as a character, addressing Bruce Wayne's abandonment issues. He uses the Batman persona to avoid developing personal relationships because he fears the heartbreak of losing more people he cares about.
    Though one thing that strikes me odd is that Ralph Fiennes voices Alfred, but NOT Voldemort. I mean, he played Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies, yet they don't have him voice Voldemort here? Seems like a missed opportunity.

WB owns it all, including the copyrights. So if Fiennes doesn't own the right to use HIS OWN VOICE and WB doesn't own the right to use a voice from THEIR MOVIES, then who the hell else could possibly own the rights to that voice?

It includes the random characters mentioned in the movie (even Calendar Man gets an appearance!) and makes that same joke about Robin's name. Both of these works poke fun at the absurdity of Batman's villains while also making an awesome story, which is why this movie and the Starkid musical are some of my favorite interpretations of Batman. They both examine Batman's response to not having a villain to fight anymore and how lonely he really is when he returns to the Batcave after work :(

    I would love if y’all watched doctor who, I know it’s not what you guys normally do but it’s such a fun and extensive world. I recommend starting with the 2005 revival to see if you’d like it and then maybe go back to the classic stuff. Doctor who and Star Trek would be great to see if you are interested

    BTw; Gymkata was the cheeziest of the 80s action cheese movies, the plot went thus: An olmpic gymnast combined gymanstics with karate and created the power of Gymkata! with which only he could enter a city of the criminally insane and save the world.

    Dick Greyson. Jason Todd. Tim Drake. Stephanie Brown (we don't talk about Bruno-no no no) and Damien Wayne. Many Robins each special in their own way.🙂 I'm still waiting for a movie with Clayface as the main villain

    • @milkiassamuel780
      @milkiassamuel780 2 года назад

      I really do love each of the Robins, Dick Grayson being my favourite member of the Batfamily, and I think each Robin has something special about them that makes them unique and essential to Batman over the years. Btw here has actually been some recent news about a casting for a character on the new Penguin HBO Max spin-off (set in Matt Reeve's Batman universe), and said character is described as "a struggling actor that loses his mind after having his face deformed". This means that we could see a variation of Clayface in live-action in the Matt Reeves Batman universe, and it seems to be more inspired by Clayface's original Golden Age origin as an actor with a deformed face, and perhaps not the more monstrous version. Guess well have to wait and see?

    I stg this movie is inspired by Team StarKid’s musical “Holy Musical B@tman!”. They are SO SIMILAR. It’s wild.
    If you haven’t seen it, you should. Alfred has a racist part, but it’s perfection other than that. Joseph Walker is the best Batman (but Lego Batman is a close second).

    13:39 this shot might genuinely be a reference to the youtuber ForestFire101, who makes very high quality lego batman animations, and also made the duck song, in one of his animations drom around 2008, called "nightwing returns" nightwing saves a woman, and she looks at him and the camera zooms in on him as "I just died in your arms" plays. Coincidence? I think not.

    I thought it was extremely fitting that Phyllis's (the multicolored glowing brick who oversees the Phantom Zone) voice actress is Ellie Kemper, aka Kimmy, the titular character of Netflix's "The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt." This type of character seems to be well-tailored to Ellie Kemper's chipper yet wise demeanor and quirky, fun mannerisms 😂
