What a wonderfully, well balanced horse in body, mind and spirit! You truly have a blessed gift, (as if you didn't know ;-) - even your voice tone in the video is calm and soothing - which tells me you implement this behavior in your training technique, and no doubt, adds to your success. Truly *awesome* - I "envy" you in an "awe inspiring" way!My 7 yr old MFT looks very much like Newt...(I've had him for a year now), so I was able to "imagine" that was my Brawny, learning all of these things :-) Your video inspires goals...Please don't take it down! ;-) VERY well done!! I have just seen your videos and am truly amazed by what you have achieved, not just with Newt but also Walter and no doubt many others. You quote Parelli and I see some similarities but I feel you have evolved further, more sympathetic and less commercial. You are so in touch with your horses, I wish I was years younger and could cross the Atlantic and come and visit you and just watch you work. Anyone who is lucky enough to buy one of your horses should feel very privileged. I have never even heard of a Gaited Missouri Foxtrotter before, they look great horses for pleasure riding.

yes he has been ridden around dogs. I've ridden him around cows. I don't see why he couldn't be turned out with some. I keep him out on pasture with 4-5 other horses.

I love the way Newt "parks" himself along things like that. I would have loved to have had a horse like him. Too old now and no land.
