    So the goal is to estimate the population mean difference given that we have sample means difference. So we are confident that 95% of the times the difference between the sample means that are taken from this population we will fall in this interval. In general terms, there is a 95 % chance that the sample mean = 1.91 is 1.96 standard deviation (or +/- 1.21) away from the population mean

    @CogitoErgoCogitoSum Way late obviously but a 95% confidence interval basically states that if this test is repeated many times it will capture the true mean 95 out of 100 times as well as stating that in this interval we are 95% confident that the true mean lies in the interval.

    What if this was done with the "t-method"? My textbook shows a different equation and it's mixing me all up.

      just use the t-table instead of z-table for the t-score of difference of means distribution

      T method wont come here..... The Sample size is greater than 30 here
