  • Comprising three towers, each 18 stories high (with 14 residential floors), Warren Towers is hard to miss. Allyson Imbacuan (CAS’23), a Tower B resident assistant, provides a tour of BU’s largest dorm, home to 1,795 students (most of them underclassmen).
Imbacuan takes us inside the Warren Towers Dining Hall, which serves up 4,000 meals a day, shows off some of the dorm’s many study lounges, the rec room, and laundry room. She even gives us a glimpse of her own dorm room, and offers some fascinating historical tidbits.

Lived there freshman year. Honestly not the worst dorm but definitely not amazing. There VERY little privacy if you want private space, bathrooms can be gross depending on your floormates, and dining halls EH but all n all couldve been worse

As a BU Alum from a few colleges there, I am quite surprised not much has changed at Warren Towers. I would have thought some of improvement over the years would have brightened up the place. Guess students are still at the bottom at Warren. Wonder if you still have all those fire drills Fri/Sat/Sun - it was nuts when I was there.

Thank you for this! Can we get a rough idea on what to expect when we arrive for move-in day? What is the parking situation like? Is it a long way to walk? Will the dining halls be up and running from the very first move-in day? This is my first time sending off my kid so please forgive my obvious separation anxiety.

That was actually really educational and entertaining. I was wondering how American universities actually looked like from a student's perspective, but most vids I found were moving-in vlogs and such, which were more focused on the room than the whole dorm.

Does not look too different than it looked when I lived there, 1974-1977. I had rooms at one time in all 3 towers, 17B, 16C, 18A etc etc.
In the basement there was a "computer room" a.k.a. IBM Selectric typewriter terminals used to access the IBM 370/168 mainframe on campus. PCs had not yet appeared!

I was there in 1979 and you're right, not much has changed. I went from a fairly strict prep school, so it was like club med for a semester or two. We had wheel chair races from tower A to B, the B to C and back to A. Turns out, wheel chairs are expensive, and if you didn't make the left from A to B, the rider went down the escalator. They looked like shark victims the next moring.
