It's not even a cheat, since you've accounted for the calories allowed in your daily calorie deficit. There is no secret to this weight loss. How to adhere to a calorie deficit diet, is what everyone needs to figure out for themselves. This calorie counting is eye opening

I call them "treat" days not "cheat" days. Cheat has a negative connotation, when really you should be rewarding yourself for doing good.

Boy I know everyone is going to be chiming in on this one bc like you said, people get heated over the weight loss subject! But even if my comment gets lost in the shuffle, I wanted to say, great job on your first week - I honestly feel like your face looks a little thinner. Water weight or not, the fact that you're being more active and also mindful of calorie intake is a great start. I've spent just a little over 2 years now doing exactly that - making sure I stay active and making sure I'm in a calorie deficit each day - and I've lost 148 lbs so far (40 left to reach my goal). I had to take a good hard look at my relationship with food and what kinds of things I do to sabatoge myself when eating. I've also made a point not to torture myself bc if I just deny myself everything I love, I'm going to be miserable - it's exactly why I've failed these attempts in the past. So this time around I made sure to simply be mindful of my calories and portion sizes and make substitutions where I can - zero sugar sodas, no flour tortillas with my mexican food, cauliflower pizza instead of regular crust. But I also still make sure I am able to eat at Taco Bell whenever I want - I just order crunchy tacos instead of what I call "the big ticket items" (the ones with lots of queso and flour tortillas. No combo meals - just 3 crunchy tacos and one chalupa. It's worked great for me. And if a friend is having a birthday and wants to go out or it's a holiday, I allow myself to splurge a little. Food is meant to be enjoyed - I just had to make sure I wasn't enjoying it as frequently as I was before I started all this. And whether people want to chime in and say I'm doing it wrong or it's not healthy, that's fine. The thing is, I can now wear socks and tie my shoes again. I can wear watches. I don't have problems breathing while I eat anymore. I no longer have to use a cpap when I sleep. And I have more energy than I've had in decades. Hopefully these change will allow me to be here to care for my disabled son (who I have to lift every day) for a very long time. But the journey is different for everyone. Everyone's needs and relationship with food is different. There will be ups and downs and plateus. Just keep your eyes on the goal. You totally got this! And if you read through this mini novella of mine , thanks!

You are doing great and I love that you are trying to eat better and count your calories, working out yet not depriving yourself of everything and going to the extremes by trying to drop weight in a couple of months. Adopting a lifestyle of healthy eating vs quick loss pays off in the long run and keeps you from becoming discouraged by trying to do radical changes all at once! You are doing a great job!!

For cryin out loud Adam, chew your food better! You take a bite then soon swallow it. That’s not healthy. Plus you wouldn’t feel like eating as much as you do.

Just a couple of observations: You had a Quarter Pounder with cheese and 4 cups of Big Mac sauce (I know you didn’t eat them all) but you kept saying 3 and that’s what you ordered but they gave you 4. Lastly wipe your face more; especially when using sauce 😆 that’s all 😊

McDonald's used to have a grilled chicken sandwich and it was pretty good. Wish they'd bring it back!

Congratulations on the 5 + 4 pounds gone! It’s amazing how quickly you see that in your face! Next time, have them hold the mayo on the Mc Chicken, and that will save you some calories 🙂 keep on keeping on! You are doing great!!!

Hi Adam. I just love you!! You always make me smile. I have been doing the Jane Fonda work out from the 80's. I actually remember her work out! Cheers...Maybe have a Diet Coke. Back in the 70's I was a Big Mac Girl, large fries and a diet coke...Lol

Adam if you are not allergic to honey, honey will help over a period of time taking a teaspoon daily and watching carbs and sugar also helps but honey helps digestion speeds up matablism over a period of time consuming it.
I eat eggs for breakfast protein in the morning.

Days like this where you have like a "cheat" day is quite important. Especially if you don't over do it. My particular diet is on the "heart healthy" side. Mostly salt and fatty foods are deleted from my plate. BUT I do have a burger or a steak from time to time. The main thing I stopped doing is breading on my chicken and fish. I miss it, but not to the point that I go out and have breading on everything. (I'm five months out, with no breading on my foods. )
I don't count the calories. but it seems that with the foods I'm allowed to eat has taken pounds off of me. I want to do even more, but that comes later when I start exercising even more. I finally lost a stomach, to the point where I am almost flat now!
The best thing about all of this, is that I feel good. And that should be something we all strive to do!

Bad move dude. I guess if you have no desire to be healthy and weight is your only focus. If you had waited a month I would not be giving you a hard time. I think a healthy Keto diet might be a good diet for you. You could have 10 hot dogs, just no bun or ketchup.

I remember as a kid in 70s and 80s. We would play out in the lightning and rain. Walk home in it too. 🌧 Ronald probably got sold to foreigners.Oh and grease use to pour out the 1/4 pounders in late 70s.
