I was so upset for you guys when I heard your news. I haven't stopped thinking about it since. Life throws us hard curve balls and although we know, and you have said that it has been extremely upsetting and life changing; you continue to come on video after video with such positive spirits thinking on the new paths ahead and revisiting old days with joy and laughter. What an inspiration you are! You both encourage me to face my own new paths, the letting go and facing the unknown with more joy and more gratitude for the days gone by. Blessings to you and can't wait to see your new adventure begin in the pen community. BTW Lisa, I met you at the Chicago pen show 2 years ago and chatted with you about my son's experience in Chicago rush hour in an ambulance and you shared some of your own stories, it felt like you were an old friend, that's how personable and kind you are. ❤

Those travel stories reminded me of a trip to Texas where my friend and I stopped for a bathroom break. One of the last things you want to feel when reaching for a light switch in the dark is fur. I froze for a moment before turning on the light and once I stepped into the bathroom I had to look at the switch. The light switch plate had fur (hair?) on it. Nice rustic decor but the furry light switch was weird. On a more serious note I will miss you, best of luck in the future.

I like the Palmer House tribute pen. I purchased one. Great design too. My son bought a Delta fusion pen from Chatterly’s when he came to DC as a a child. He did the pen scavenger hunt Lisa organized for children in DC and gifted a little dollar pen at the end I think. My son would eye pens and picked a limited edition Delta (7 of 10 I think) paid following negotiations (he negotiated a little Visconti display stand and a Visconti ink well being added in) but he still has the pen as a young man now. Memories were made. I think I purchased a few pens over the yrs from Pilot 73/E95, Targa’s, pen repair supplies, an Esterbrook, Hobo’s, notebooks, inks, etc. enjoyed the notes and in the early days Brian would test or smooth nibs. Mostly enjoyed your appearances on videos, FPGeek pen shows, and the private chats in DC when there was a moment of calm for Brian and Lisa you generously chatted and shared pen insights, experiences, and genuine humour.
