Thank you for bringing attention to this important issue! It's so crucial for parents to be aware of the content their children are consuming, especially when it comes to books with mature themes. Unfortunately, it's become all too common for kids under 18 to have access to such material without proper guidance. Your review sheds light on the need for responsible reading choices and open conversations between parents and children about the content they engage with. Keep up the great work in advocating for thoughtful and informed reading habits

I think you should spread awareness about such books but don't not recommend such books to anyone be it 18 below or above the main reason why I am saying it is that as Muslims we know have a concept of Sadqah e Jariyah similarly there's a concept of Gunnah e jariyah so as we know that reading such books is not ethically good as well as its not allowed religiously so when you are recommending such books it becomes a way for your gunnah e jariyah and by chance if you are reading such books without knowing that there's such things in there and then you have a good intention to make people aware so that they stay out of such bad deeds you'll get rewarded

I didn't really know much about the story but since I saw it on nearly every bookshelf in every bookstore I was intrigued, and I bought it. Tbh , it was disgusting, and I could barely read beyond the first few chapters. I'm amazed at the fact that it's so common to see such material so easily available for kids/ teenagers to read these days.

Avoiding is best we can do but I think good books are rare nowadays without these kind of scenes in them. I miss Harry Potter and Lord of the rings.

My point is that RUclips is open to all, your channel is also open to everyone and young ones n adults both can watch your videos. At times this happens when a child or young teenager has come to know about such books/videos/movies which they should not read or watch, this brings about more curiousity, interest and a state of inquiry "ke Esa kia hai is mai jo mana krhy hain"..
And jab aisa hota hai tou they are more eager to find it out through other means k kahin se pata chal jai ya mil jai..
So this was just my side, I don't know am I able to clear my point or not..

Hi Rabia. I can understand that this book is very popular especially among people who generally don't read a lot or are starting their reading journey. It's an easy and quick read which is also one of its biggest flaws. World building is done rather poorly and there is no complexity in the characters. You can turn your brain off and don't have to think about much when reading. Which is why I DNFed it and would never recommend anyone to read it. There are far better books that one can read.

There are so many amazing authors who don't write spice scenes
Like cheet sheet by Sarah Adams, the bodyguard by Katherine Center , Just for the summer by Abby jimenez etc..
The point is if anyone wants to read books that doesn't have any explicit scene there are plenty of them so just choose wisely what you are reading actually and even with the books that have some stuffs like that you can just skip that chapter and read 🥲
    .
AND I HAVE A REQUEST RABIA PLEASE SUGGEST BOOKS THAT DON'T HAVE SPICY SCENE BECAUSE YOU REVIEW BOOKS THAT HAVE THOSE THINGS MOSTLY....

Rabia this is not only a very good social message, but i believe this is a sadaqae jaria you are becoming a part of. This should be a concern of every book reader. And please keep on making these reviews. Believe me your review helped me choose or leave my books. And ye wo trigger warning he ke jo koi book platform clearly nahi deta. Every platform and reviewer have their own standards of what's right and wrong, acceptable and unacceptable. Moreover this particular type of content in books, is what makes such a good habit turn into a bad one. Ye content corruptive hota hai, human psychology se khelta hai, and with young kids they won't even know when they start choosing their books not for the sake of reading but for the sake of this content. And it would end up leading them to other means or media providing that filth. No wonder clean books are getting less and less these days. All in all, keep doing these reviews because you are not propogating these books but pointing out what's wrong with them and i think hardly anybody has done that in past. Apke pas jo ye social media ki power he, ap iska haq ada kar rahi hen. ❤

Thank you Rabia for making this video. I'm a working mother of two teenage girls. My children are mashallah book readers... something that I am very proud of. These romantic fantasies are very popular among the teenagers nowadays. I had had some apprehensions when my daughter ordered this book online. I checked the book reviews on Google and came to conclusion that this book is not for her. But by the time I took it from her, she had read it! a book worm that she is! Finishes a novel in a day or two.
Sometimes even Google can't be a good guide for us, is the actual point that I wanted to make. The foreign website that post the book reviews may not be according to our norms and traditions. In western societies, usually the young teens have seen and known too much as compared to our children. We do need such reviews and guidance such as yours. Please do recommend good modern novels. I'll be looking forward for more book reviews.
    Stay blessed!❤

If you're into fantasy genre you should try tethered series..its a trilogy..
For thrillers i think Wrong Place Wrong Time is a good one..

The author of this book supports Israel as well, so that is another reason not to buy.

i have stopped giving recommendations to people solely because of this reason. not just ethically its also a concerning thing religiously as well. Plus this author is a zionist as well so another reason to stay away from this book. i now check the spice level in books before buying or reading it.
