I love this book so much, and honestly, it's ruined my future reading because it has taken the number one spot in my favorites, and I doubt any other book will ever come close. The storyline and character development is phenomenal... I found this book on audible, and I really loved the narrators. I loved this book so much that I even bought the actual book as well. 7 days left to go before "Iron Flame" comes out. I can't wait!! Hurry up, lol.

I wouldn't really consider Xaden morally grey. Nothing he did in the book was evil or morally questionable? Like sure his allegiances are iffy but not in a morally ambiguous way.
@@cloudjasper9071 I doubt there is any need to be. She refers to him as one as though he already portrayed that in book 1. So whatever level of gray she believes he is, it's already been established.
@scionsilverbeat8149 That's true. I also think what some people think is morally grey, others might not. Who knows... maybe we will find out more once we know his secrets🤭
So he's considered morally grey because he is the son of the man who started the rebellion and because Violet is the daughter of a Navarrian general and is loyal to Navarre, that means they started on opposing sides. Yeah you can see why he does what he does but you can't tell me he doesn't plan on overthrowing Navarre's King/ generals The thing is Violet isn't told about what this war is really about until 2/3 of the first book so she doesn't know that her own government is kinda shady or that they are hiding the real danger from their own people. Xaden becomes less shady as the book goes on. However I wouldn't say Navarre is straight up evil either...the kingdom is just acting in its best interests and the interests of keeping their own people safe. So I would say Navarre is morally gray...although I don't understand why they keep the existence of Venim from Riders, when Riders are the ones protecting Navarre! But hopefully that's touched upon in the next book.
⚠️Spoilers included in this comment ⚠️ Alright, I cried when Liam and Deigh died, I screamed every time when Dain was unbelievably annoying or when the reader was enlightened about his betrayal. But when Violet and Xaden were fighting I was heartbroken. I need them to be endgame and I can’t stand the thought of them having other love interests. It’s just not possible for my fragile heart to bear with something like that. I loved every character (except Dain, Jack and so on…But I still liked them because, even though they were "the bad guys“ -not all in the same way-, they were written perfectly), so what I was saying was: I loved every character because the reader got to build like an actual relationship with them. At some point I even started to think: Violet can stand all this, she’s bonded two dragons and got through the first year AND survived a major attack. If she was able to cope with all of this, perhaps I‘ll be able to cope with my life right now as well. The pronunciation talk was so overdue, at least for me personally ! Thank you so much! This was wonderful✨

Rebecca, please make a public statement concerning the pre orders that aren't being shipped and customers are being left in the dark about what is happening. No matter who we ordered from, we have not received any updates, or notifications. As fans and customers of the various booksellers, we deserve some consideration.
It’s never mentioned but it’s EDS. It affects the connective tissues. That’s why violet had weak muscles. Also, I think this condition gives Violet such flexibility
EDS is also why her joints dislocate so easily. It’s because the connective tissue is weak and can’t hold it there as easily as people without EDS. Another thing I though was interesting is people with EDS tend to have softer skin and it mentions a few times in the book that she has soft skin. My bestie has EDS so it was fun seeing her represented in this book. Another interesting part of EDS is their hair tends to gray earlier. Makes me wonder if this is simply why some of her hair is silver
Yea its EDS but bc its a fantasy world it doesnt have a name in the book violet just said her mom got sick when she was born and thats why she has weak joint and silver hair
It’s an Auto Immune Disease and it carries with a litany of symptoms with it that make like a little more challenging!/ extra flexible joints, susceptible to illness, often low in iron, often also Celiac…. Just to name a few..
Could you elaborate on this? I've never heard about this, although it feels entirely plausible. I found the storyline lacking coherence, with the narrative seeming stretched. I felt like the author at times forced connections and occasionally bypassed logical progression to swiftly reach certain plot points.
5 book??!!!?? NOOOOOO pleaseeee. I love this series but please not 5 books. Trilogy is the sweet spot. Anything more is just dragging it. Also the ending of Iron Flame!!!??? Rebecca is sure playing with us.

one doubt..jack killed bide his dragon right..but he didnt die...which shows venin can stay alive without their dragons if they are riders and their bond to the dragons is severed...how does one even become a venin tho...like do they just draw from the source and kind of sell their soul?...so xaden is a venin does that sever his bond with sygale? cuz that wouldnt ensure him being alive...if all of this is true then naolin i.e, tarin's earlier rider mightve made a deal with venins to keep brendan alive and became a venin..which in turn severed his bond to tarin..which left tarin devastated and betrayed...correct me if i am wrong anywhere
