When the sent the notification, we were told the doll would not ship till November this year. So while long, its not a surprise and we knew that before ordering.
I love Aurora and I would love a doll EXCEPT I am scared of how they would do her bangs. The Animators collection Aurora always had messy curly bangs with tons of gel.
Yeeeeaaahhh… the bangs are a bit difficult. But if Mattel can pull it off on 12” dolls, why shouldn’t AG be able to replicate - oh prunes rooted vs wigged hair. Imma gonna shut up now.
Kris mentioned in his Anna and Elsa review video that he had information that Merida and Aurora were coming this year and a special Halloween release, AG does move their releases around alot though so we'll see!
I only collect the historical dolls, so I was hoping for more rereleases for Kirsten and the return of Felicity. I'm actually really surprised that they're not rereleasing Christmas stuff for Kirsten, Addy and Josefina. I guess I'll keep buying second hand for now.

Yes, we need more historical outfits. I recently got Julie’s skating outfit FINALLY after being back ordered (didn’t SAY back ordered when I placed the order, didn’t even say low stock!), and while yeah, sure, the material of the clothes isn’t the best, those skates are heavy duty.
Moana would be great. Merida too. Also very curious what the play line Belle will be wearing. I'm thinking like you are that she'll be in the yellow dress, but the work dress will be sold separately. Thanks for sharing!
Belle was my very favorite. And I have seen every Disney movie ever made when they came out because of course I am old and when I took my children to them and to the new era of animation. That started with the little mermaid. Beauty and the beast took my heart away. I saw every possible way you could in the theater in the movie theater on ice. I swear if they’ve had a gymnastics show, I would’ve gone to it the day the movie came out at Sam’s. I bought it and told my husband I had to look at it to make sure it was good quality, I just wanted to watch the movie. I was sad that I missed Belle when she first came out, but I won’t miss her a second time. When I think of the clothing that they could put together for her it just makes my heart sense. I hope this is true.
Belle can have a spectacular wardrobe! Her blue town dress is beautiful, and I love her winter outfit (pink dress with burgundy cape), then there is a green library dress…
I'm very excited to see which dolls we get and when! I mainly just collect the historical and girl of the year dolls, but the princess are so pretty. I'm also excited to see what else is coming for Barbie! I may get one of the Barbie outfits. Summer is coming so soon!
I’m really hoping for Merida & I would absolutely buy a playline Belle. I was fortunate to order the Collectors Barbie and can’t wait for her to arrive. I’m really looking forward to seeing some outfits for her. I Would so Love to see a Wednesday Doll for Halloween or even some of the Disney villains, Disney theme Park Halloween accessories or Nightmare before Christmas costumes , but that may just be wishful thinking 😆
They should consider an American Girl version of Totally Hair Barbie. Having the crimped wig down to her toes? They could do all three versions (blonde, brunette, and AA). 12:04 Best collab they ever did. Best Christmas outfits too. But I want a green Christmas dress. They never want to do green! It's driving me crazy.
I was hoping play line Belle would release today 8/3/24. She is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE Disney princess!!! I probably won't get the doll, especially if she is in the yellow dress. Playline Belle would be tempting if they did the dress in solid gold/yellow instead of making some of the roses red. That ruined the look to me. Sticks out and looks completely off. I still want Snow White the most though.

I wish they would re release Caroline. I know we most likely won’t ever get Marie-Grace, Cecile, or Felicity but Caroline would be cool. Cecile and Marie-Grace are best friend dolls and they have done away with the friend line so that’s why I think they won’t be returning any time soon. I guess the community has decided to “cancel” Felicity due to her family owning slaves even though that was the norm back then. But I don’t believe Caroline is problematic at all nor does she have a friend doll so she seems to be the doll that could make a comeback at some point.

I don't have leaks or but in September, we could get a Hoilday collaboration collection or just truly me Hoilday stuff. Last year we got one in September so I think it will happen again.

Even people thinking it was mundane website updates like wishlist or CYO having issues found its still the same this morning. So maybe it was a server change… guess we will see soon! One collector did say he saw this 2015-17 usually during GOTY and beforever branding updates, but GOTY is still a month out so I doubt it was then prepping for that.
I would buy Aurora as a regular doll, but not a $300+ doll. If they start embracing the same characters in both lines, I could see her pink dress being the core doll with the blue being the limited edition.

Aurora is Disneyland’s princess, as it’s Sleeping Beauty’s castle there. I’m sure they’d at least know her. Before Little Mermaid was released (1989), Aurora was my favorite princess. My mom even called me Princess Aurora because, well, I started out with blonde hair. It didn’t stay that way unfortunately, but.. oh well.
She is a part of AG’s Disney line, so will be officially available for a while. However, Ariel has been on backorder a few times already. If you are planning to buy Rapunzel as a Christmas gift, you shouldn’t wait too long. I am sure she will be on backorder by December, maybe earlier.
Wednesday absolutely I would need that doll instantly I love the Wednesday series and my thought on Aurora is I would love to see her because she is one of my favorite princesses. She was like my very first favorite princess ever and why do I think she would be released is because of her iconic pink dress that every little kid knows her for, she might not be popular but she’s kind of popular to me and she’s pretty popular for that pink dress so if she got released. She would probably be with her pink dress and if she’s with play line, I kinda hope if she comes to play line that she would gets her little brown outfit she wears because that outfit is so cute, just like all the other girls like before they’re transformation outfits like cleaning outfits. The blue dress will probably get released as a separate outfit, just like Ariel’s village dress.

I just realized this but the close up of the Bridgerton dress looks like a modified Cinderella dress from the Cinderella doll.
Could be a custom, could be a reused design , it wouldn’t be the first time AG did that.
