Isabelle Erkendal and Rosanna Jirebeck are the members. Erkendal provides main vocals for the band and is the "Neil Tennant" figure, whilst Jirebeck is behind her as "Chris Lowe"

I just got done watching "Pet Shop Boys: A Life in Pop" here on RUclips (very interesting show BTW). Toward the end of the program some of the interviewee's mentioned this teen girl tribute band with a slightly bemused and dismissive laugh. Being American I'd never heard of them so I did a search on "Swedish West End Girls" and wound up here. I'm a huge PSB fan but I will admit I think this cover is fantastic! The girls are cute as anything, their accents are adorable, and I'm very impressed with the quality of this "Domino Dancing" video. I've watched this WAY more than the PSB original video. The lead singer, with her cleft chin and high cheekbones, totally looks like a young Elisha Cuthbert. I'm far from dismissive of these girls and I say Bravo and Well Done! I can see how this song went to #3 on the Swedish charts. It's fun and makes me happy. I'm glad I stumbled across this group and while it's too bad they did not last long I will certainly add their music to my playlist and recommend them to others. :-)

O clipe acho realmente fascinante. Dois garotos enfeitiçados por uma bela menina... parece comum né?
Porém se ver o clipe com outros olhos, verá o real significado dele e da música. Quando ela cobre os olhos de um garoto com um pano e nas cenas dela no cemitério, é uma alusão à AIDS. Na canção ha também o verso: "Watch them all fall down... domino dancing" uma analogia à AIDS, em que todos vão caindo, sendo pegos pelo vírus. É um relato triste dos momentos da descoberta da doença, todos caindo como uma fileira de dominós, um a um e derrubando o próximo. Também tem momentos em que o clipe aborda a relação homossexual: Os dois garotos cansam de brigar e vão embora juntos, deixando para trás a bela garota. E lógico que os Pet Shop Boys sofreram critícas hipócritas do público americano, que só enxergou a mensagem homossexual do clipe.
Resumindo: Domino dancing é um alerta sobre a relação dos jovens com a falta de cuidado com o sexo, amor, e a diversão. A garota representa o virus HIV e não propriamente uma pessoa que causa discórdia entre os dois jovens e se vocês notarem bem as cenas, os garotos são namorados brigando não pela garota, mas por causa de um relacionamento extra que um deles está tendo com "outro" percebam isso em I thought I loved you, but I'm not sure now

Na versão extendida da música, vocês verão com clareza o despreso da garota pelos meninos, no final do vídeo ela anda pelo cemitério e olha de forma sinistra para as tumbas. I've been a PSBs fan since I was a kid and this is my favourite cover of any of their songs.
Do you know why their songs almost was all cover PSBs songs? They even called West End Girls.

A dance version of a colossal eighties dance hit, nice try. Nothing new apart for the chipmunks voices, still appreciate the effort.
The Pet Shop Boys are great, but you have to admit, this version turned out even better than the original!

@korneliss I apologize if I made you upset, you seem to be a big fan of these girls, but that is no excuse to reply to a simple and sincere question with such a condescending tone, why do you feel the need to question the life accomplishments of a total stranger on the internet right off the bat? and why do you assume if I "know anything about them?" should I? are they really that important figures in the entertainment scene? Anyway this has been a total waste, since I still don't know...
@maxxpower17 OK, you don't have to admit, and I agree with the other one being more organic, but I don't think organic is synonymous with good. This version is simultaneously tighter and richer. It feels more complete and coherent to me, and I've heard others give it similar praise so I don't think it's just my imagination. And videos don't have to match lyrics, particularly in the case of cover bands, for whom the song is an homage to a band they like, not a personal vision demanding portrayal.
@FamilyPrisonerBlues It is not Neuschwanstein. I do not know which it is. You can tell by the turrets and towers. The ones on this castle are squared, whereas Neuschwanstein's are rounded. Plus, Neuschanstein's towers are tighter to the main construct. I can see how easy it is to confuse it, the one on this video is impressive.
If I had never heard the original, I would probably love this song. But these girls just cannot do what Neil and Chris could. It's very hard to redo a classic and actually make it better, the way that Eminem did with Aerosmith. To say that they did not clear this bar would be the understatement of the year.
PSB's version is certainly better, but this version is pretty awesome in itself
