Great video. Systema is an internal martial art system. Best understood as generating power from kinetic chains internal within the body that also penetrate internally into an opponent. In my opinion Conner McGregor in his movement training and some of his techniques is the fighter where I most see integration of some internal into modern MMA. I can tell Tibi is the real deal. And I have met some others. Everyone I have personally worked with had a foundation in external and more popularly accepted fighting systems. But they are complimentary. Vadim Starov (Systema Spetznats and formerly Systema Kadochnikov) has demonstrated he can do two rounds in a ring with a kickboxer without flinching, mainly absorbing or deflecting attacks and not resorting to dangerous military responses.
Systema was never intended as an ultimate completed fighting style. It's a system of upgrading and if Systema Kadochnikova was the first systema or the grandfather of systemas, it was originaly just called SAMBO. The late Soviet Union had allready developed MMA styles like SAMBO, Alexi Kadochikov focused on principles like biomechanics and ballistics inspiring puzzle solver students to try to improve it, inspiring various instructers with different specialities and other influences as well. Psychological preparation for performing well in battle and surviving might not look the same as kinetic energy generation with whipping movements, and might not be a speciality of the same instructer. That is why a systema teacher would NEVER fight in a ring under any type of brutal rules, he knows better.
Put any systema teacher in here, that has never done other martial arts and reality will shine in him: ruclips.net/video/TpMWnHtws3w/видео.html
or this ruclips.net/video/eyzzDkYJojA/видео.html
All else is child's play.
Due to bad systema training methodology, if anyone ever learns self defense, it will take him at least 5 years to have some chances in a fist fight. For me this is too long for self defence.

every instructors are trained samehow.. same amout of hours, with same effort, desire, with same instructor etc.
if these aspect are same, systema student easiely can be more succesful in the real street fight, than mma fighter.
street demnds a diffwrent solutions then sports.
Also it's likely to get toned down for civilians, this is a 21st centuary problem for systema instructers to solve because they train civilians.
