Epiphone's ProBuckers are so underrated, only because they come stock in so many of their guitars. As a Pickup-file, new word, they are the only stock pup's that I've never felt the need to swap out. They do vintage/driving tones so well.
Let's be sincere... I'm watching the video for Pete and Rubea noodling more than for Epiphone stuff P.s. 10mn later I modify my comment to say : this Epiphone guitars are sooo beautiful !!!
I watched the Rick Beato string gauge video, stuck some Ernie Ball Extra Slinkys (8-38) on one of my guitars, and was amazed. A noticeable improvement in tone over D'Addario tens, but a huge improvement in playability - and yes, they stay in tune. My bad for being too influenced by the SRV myth. My fingers are very, very happy now. 😁
Great stuff guys. Thanks for the kind words. We have an amazing team. Also, no Anderton electric guitar review isn't complete without the Lee-lick! 😎🤘 Also, nice Marty McFly high note face Pete. 🙃
You’ve been doing these for a long time now and I’ve been watching. Some memorable and epic jams but every now and then the planets align and you get Guitar Magic. Spectacular! Inspirational! Thanks Andertons for yet more great TV.
It's a joy and inspiration to watch to such accomplished musicians start to jam and sound so good together. I love that you played different genres even if that's not your main thing. Rock/jazz/bules/funk on, dudes!
...yes! From now on I’m calling the fret edges “fret-gees”, awesome! Love you guys, I just got my wife to promise me that for my birthday we are coming to see Andertons in Guilford.. cannot wait. Great video as always, love you lots.
What a spectacular intro. My gosh, I'd love to play guitar like those two.... absolutely stunning guitars and beautiful tone! Never sounded better you guys.
Delivered on Wednesday. This is the most visually stunning guitar I have ever seen. You do need to see one. It does what it says on the can. I've put a very unprofessional video thingy up with no mics, just a phone for those of us who can barely play a G chord.
@@derrekmcfarlane7872 It's as I expect, more like a 335, plenty of sustain, but I wouldn't try and play thrash on it. Quite versatile and will cover most styles. I tend not to use distortion on semis as a rule, I have other beasts for hat.

Awesome playing as always and you guys really make material to assist in buying decisions from mere mortals who can aspire to recreating those vibes at some point. Keep up the great work and I will be mentioning the red version to my wife for a Christmas present!
Pete is sooooo good. I love the way he mischieviously challenges Rabea by throwing in unplanned chords and then watches to see what happens. Bea grins and panics a bit but manages to pull out something great. Awesome. More Pete and Bea vids please!!!!
@@jakkhazzard It would be a rat rodded version of the uptown. Flat paint. Black. Aged tuners. Only one pickup. Then we would have a "Tri Town Collection" And having something uniquely Epiphone would be something that people would buy because they want to. Not because its a cheaper Gibson.
@@PulledPurk the closest that I can recall is the Tom Delonge 333. Single humbucker, matte green finish. Also, it was the last Epiphone I wanted that wasn't just a cheaper Gibson. Maybe you are on to something.
I'd be interested in the Epiphone/Gretsch Electromatic comparison. If you wanted to go the whole smaller semi-hollow with centre block hog, perhaps include a GIbson 339 versus a 6659 too. These Uptown Kat's are intriguing. Great intro.
So I bought one, mostly on the basis of the lovely tone these guys got in their jam. Initially I was getting very black fingers from playing it. But Once I had changed the strings (set of DRs is ideal) and rubbed down and treated the fretboard with lemon oil it was clean as a whistle. I also raised the neck pickup and got more clarity on the low notes. It plays beautifully - I hadn’t had a hollow body since my Epi Casino in 1977! and it definitely takes time to get the tones, rigs and amps (in TH-U in my case) to bring out the best, but its remarkable how similar to an ES335 it sounds and that’s what I was looking for. Very sweet tone, nice fretboard, looks amazing; as someone pointed out about Epiphones compared to Gibson, you get 90% of the tone for a fraction of the price. I can’t stop playing it... Quality seems great, frets are good if not perfect, which I had been worried about when I ordered it, I am sure people would say it possibly lacks the refinement and quality of a real ES335, but I understand with Gibson you also have to get lucky. I’d rather take that chance on a £500 axe than get a meh £2500 guitar. Recommend. Mustn’t forget a shout out for Andertons who gave great service and bang on delivery. Thanks
But you can , a lot of practice and time spent on the guitar and you could totally do it. I’m 45 and didn’t start until after a car accident the turned me into a paraplegic and I’ve come along alright. Enough to enjoy it anyway. Give er a go bro !
Quality of the demos went up 1000000% with you two teaming up for Andertons. Great playing guys!
Couldn't agree more. The Lee gag was hilarious 🤣
Is anyone else just watching this video again and again to listen to Rabea and Pete jamming? Can listen to these 2 play for every.
Ok this one of the best demo’s of a guitar I have ever seen. Great job you guys. No question now what these guitars can do.
The first 3 minutes of this video just sold 10,000 Epiphone Uptown Kat's.
Ya think? 🤔

@Rozika Zakopáné Horváth Noodling all the time. No thanks.
You might be right. These sound really nice for jazzy stuff. Now I want one too. The ebony board and mini humbuckers seal the deal for me.

They remind me a little of the Ibanez Super 58 pickups, which is not a bad thing.
Loving the mix of presenters in videos! It keeps things fresh seeing the interaction between you all.
13:37 that bass line, and holy moly the jam at 14:37 hit it out of the park!
I must admit that it’s the first time in my life I feel gassed for an Epiphone.
Too bad you weren't around when they sold Epiphone Elitist guitars. Those are great.

I got one 2 weeks ago and it is awesome. Totally surprised how well it plays and the quality. The mini hums are spot on.
