Thanks for watching.
Very clear and concise 👍One tip is have a new bearing on hand to compare smoothness when running a finger inside and only replace if any discernible roughness comparing to new .Also when new bearings fitted give one last compare to check all running smooth 🙏🏻
Thanks again for another most informative DYI video.
Thanks for your videos. Excellent information. The CXR 2 wheels are the same. I have the CXR2 wheelset with XDR 12 freehub. The bearings inside Giant 3 pawl XDR Freehub are 3x 15267-2RS. The outside one (manufactured by TPI) has the red seal facing out (my understanding is the red seal creates slightly more friction but provides better seal from environment). The inside two are made by S&S.
Thanks...what is your bearing press tool?
Great video. Any idea if the new SLR1 wheelset hub works the same?
Thanks for your video, just wondering if XDR freehub version using same size of bearings and 2 pieces of bearing as well? Thank you in advance.
Thanks for the video👍👍👍
Does the front wheel on these wheels use the same size bearings?
Hi there great vid I have a question for you….on the non drive side where the axle is poking through what adaptor are you using?reason I ask I have an issue with a Scott bike exactly the same as yours….my standard press drifts will not fit as axle is in way..I have been told I need to buy an over axle bearing press but means buying more drifts and handles which I really don’t want to do….can you advise please cheers
Always good 👍
What grease did you use please? 👍
Great video as usual. I have a question not relating to this video, if you don't mind. Is it possible to convert a rear wheel, into a front wheel, by replacing the hub (to a front hub)? Is there any difference in the front of rear wheel, apart from the hubs?
The spokes are different!
@@FreeToCycle Thanks
You mentioned using an adaptor to press the disc side bearing over the spindle .If you dont have this you should be able to use the old bearings you have taken off to push evenly against new bearing 🙄
Yes that's what I usually do. Con is sometimes that spacer bearing also gets stuck inside the hub and may need a little pull to get out.
Anyone knows the size of the spacer between freehub body and the bearing?
Thx
