Your argument doesn't make sense. If they played in the 20th century, they would face less balanced football and technically better midfielders. If we are talking mainly about Iniesta, he only gains this size because he is part of a winning period, but technically he is much inferior to his own teammate Xavi and the other midfielders. It is worth remembering that football had midfielders such as: Didi, Beckenbauer, Bobby Chaltron, Ducan Edwards, Michel Platinir, Pintinho, Falcão, Adílio, Bernd Chuster, Laudrup, Scholes.
