Losing A Steelhead on the Situk River

Fishing on the Situk River spring 2019, my buddy lets a fish get into the sticks. I pull it out multiple times, but he can't get it out. Then it breaks off after getting around one of the stick. Cue rod throw.

I don't know if he could've played that any better, that's exactly how you should fight a Steelhead. Could've happened to any angler.
