Merci Diane. C'est tellement relaxant. Et j'adore votre accent anglais. Un merci particulier au coq qui se manifeste au loin. Thank you Diane. It's so relaxing. And I love your English accent. A special thank you to the rooster who appears in the distance. From France.
Thanks Kathleen, glad you enjoyed the video and your point is a good one. If I start to fuss about things I'm never happy with the result. I have to allow a certain amount of serendipity to happen in my paintings!
Thank you Diane. Had to smile. I actually swiped your sketch to erase the rubber debris after the micron!!! You are SO talented, I love your laid back approach!!. Inspirational!!!
I love this scene....the colours are so subtle but set the atmosphere so beautifully. Thank you again for your musings as you take us in yet another incredible adventure....😎😁🙏
Welcome back! I think August is going to be a “challenge free zone” as it’s the prime holiday month and we’ll need to gather our strength for the Christmas painting marathon! Glad you enjoyed this one, an oldie but a goodie!
Hi Diane..I love trying new pain things with you. I have been painting your birds and found them easy and enjoyable. I am only a beginner but I am going to try this one . It's great listening to you, as I 've said before your real no frills this is you. Wonderful and you make it easy to follow you. Thank you. Rachael x
I'm loving this Diane I live in Florida but I'm really from Louisiana so without the hills this could be a scene from Louisiana. Love it. Looking at this makes me so happy.
Thanks for sharing this. I love that you only use a small amount of colors but end up with so many variations just by mixing. That is something I don’t normally think of but I’m definitely learning after watching your videos.
Oh Diane you out did yourself this is beautiful. You are very gifted. This reminds me of Rockport Mass, I think you are an exceptional human being! You are very calming to my soul, your voice, your little tid bits of information. Thx for all you do I learn so much. Godbless.
Hello Diane. This is wonderful, pretty different than what you have been doing lately and I love it, I love all that you do, a huge fan of seaside paintings. You make it look so easy. This would take me hours I fear. But so lovely, indeed. Bless you always
Thanks so much Sundie, these are really not that hard to do, especially if you have the sketch first drawn in. Much easier than a regular watercolor landscape, as you don't depend on the paint for all the structure. Or at least that's what I find. Maybe try doing one section of it at first, rather than attempting the whole thing?
Hi Diane! I LOVE this tutorial!!! Reminds me of my growing up in New York and New Jersey and taking holidays in New England. I think I will, at least, sketch this out today. Thank you :-)
Oh, this is one of my all-time favorites of yours! It's something completely different and I really like a change sometimes. I am landlocked here in Colorado, and your tutorial took me to many wonderful vacations by the sea. Can't wait to give this a try today. Thanks so much for this wonderful lesson, Diane. God bless.
What a pleasant painting. Just beautiful Diane !!! I’m painting along with you as usual pausing multiple times. I look forward to the next one and don’t ever think your take to long and we’ll be bored, that would never happen with your amazing creative paintings and your lovely calm voice. I could watch you all day!!! Thank you for all your amazing videos your quite the artist 🎨
Hello Diane. Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. I love your painting so much and I feel I have learnt a lot. Thoroughly enjoyed listening to your thought process. You have inspired me to have a try. I’m so pleased I came across you on you tube.
Diane, this is absolutely lovely! You captured so many details in this sketch, such as the boat wheel on the boat house. The people and dog along the walkway really bring it to life. There's so much movement in this painting and I could go on and on.....I love it!
Thanks Carolyn! I just sent you an email so I hope you got it! Glad you liked this painting, as I'm planning to do more in a similar style. It's absolutely my first natural style which I've been doing since I was first married and only had a small set of paints and a biro to draw and paint with! See you again soon!
I love this. I am from New England area USA. I’d love to try this. I love the history of the window tax! I may try but I am new to paints. Enjoyed this video!
Love the fishing village and your relaxed style, we have windows still blocked in since window tax but it was many years ago. Smiled at the life buoy that that would go under water with the tide ;) must get some pens .... X
@@DianeAntoneStudio perfect artistic licence as always, ❤️ do wonder why no one bothered to put our windows back though but neither have we. Wet and soggy in England today hope France is better xx
Ah, didn't you notice me putting his shadow in? I said he was a ghostly figure and we could only see his shadow in the doorway :))) Glad you enjoyed this one!
Even at first glance, I love the look of this painting! Something a little different - it really gives the feeling of a quaint village and I look forward to trying it out. Thank you! On a technical note, I am having difficulty downloading sketches. This happened before when I first started out several months ago.......the website says there is an error with my password. I have it written down so I don't forget it and tried several times in case I was typing wrong! I tried hitting "I forgot my password" to just reset it, but never received the e-mail to do so. Last time this happened, I actually made a whole new e-mail account just for "painting" e-mails, but I don't want to create another one! Any advice? I would greatly appreciate any help - some tutorials, I really feel the need for the sketch - like this one!
Hi Tracy, thanks for telling us about the problem logging in and sorry about the extra work and annoyance it’s caused. We have recently worked out what’s causing this problem, which only affects gmail accounts, and it’s to do with Google not allowing password reset emails into peoples inboxes. But we can fix it by setting a temporary password for you. Please just send us an email to orders@dianeantone.com from the email address you’d like to keep using, and we’ll get it sorted asap!
I just realized how I like to paint seaside scenes. Thanks for this cute calm painting.

I love how you jump in and make a point of not worrying about 'proper perspective' or being too precise ~ it's a lesson all artists need to learn
Thanks Kathleen, glad you enjoyed the video and your point is a good one. If I start to fuss about things I'm never happy with the result. I have to allow a certain amount of serendipity to happen in my paintings!
I love this style of painting. I could almost hear the gulls and smell the salt in the air. ❤
Thank you so much 😀 that’s so poetic!

The fact that there ever was a window tax is just absurd.

Beautiful drawing and painting! Wow, I did not know about the taxes on windows, and the consequences, interesting.
Beautiful Looks to hard for me. ❤️
So quaint. I’d like to be there. Turned out great. I’d like to paint this after I finish moving to my winter home in the desert.
Go for it! The only thing about relocating twice a year is the work!

That rooster is a talker! 🐓🐔
He needs to watch out. All he ever does is crow, never lays a single egg!
@@DianeAntoneStudio ha
Run Rooster Run!!
I was told the sizing on the paper can go bad. I had a the same experience. So perhaps.
Beautiful work! May I ask what the reasoning is for a window tax? I've never heard of such a thing. Just curious.
The reason was to raise money to pay for a war!! They used to do things like that in England!
@@DianeAntoneStudio oooohhhh! Like war bonds were sold. Ok. Hopefully that will never be needed again!
