I'm so glad I watched this video. I've sharpened 50 or so chains with this USG I got few month ago and the lever don't hold well like you showed. Thanks for showing the upgrade! There is another guy on RUclips that showed him doing rakers without clamping to save time and I tried it and it took a chunk out of wheel and may have slightly bent track and could have widened it during collision or may not have. He had 2 usgs. I think he could have made that shit up because within a few rakers of not clamping that happened. I'm going to order one of those levers and try it.
@@donjohnson9013 as it turns out I found another lever that I like better, here's the link to it. It's mostly the same but uses a stud instead of a bolt. I'll make a more detailed video about the lever later. I've also seen videos of people not clamping the chain tight to do the rakers and I've never tried it but I don't like the looks of it. Yes I agree about that too, I always clamp for accuracy. That guy said he sharpened a crazy amount of chains like 1000s a year so I thought I'd try it. That clamp looks like a good one. Thanks for the link! I will look into it.
