A 52 year old man was having a tough day, then he saw his 22 year old self in the post-match celebrations and the world become a little brighter......thank you for posting this Palace............thank you.
Mates and I went by coach to the first leg of the semi and the return journey was a little flat, obviously. Somehow we managed to get an extra ticket for the second leg and took an American friend who had never been to a 'soccer' game before. That day was madness for us, I can't imagine what it was like for him!
after a miserable first leg in blackburn, this was awesome. what they didnt show was a screamer from simon garner, that suckling tipped over, in extra time. i couldnt watch after that. great times
I was one of those guys running on the pitch . Even got sprayed by stevie coppells champagne & never washed that stained shirt again . Unbelievable match 👏
I was in the Whitehorse for reasons that I just can't remember. I used to sit with the boys in the Old Stand for the grog (was it the Eagles Nest bar then?). I just knew Madden wasn't going to miss and then Wrighty did the biz at the end. After the game I blagged my way into the press box, called my mate in Oz to give him the gen and then wandered into the dressing room until Coppell (fairly enough) asked all the non-players to leave! The memories!
The worst ever day for Rovers!! But on a positive note it inspired a few disgruntled fans to start a fanzine. '4000 Holes' is now 30 years old!😄 (@roversfanzine)

Same as that , same age too .
Wonderful memories of being covered in champagne from Stevie spraying it over us on the pitch .
Unforgettable day
Love this. Same here, just seen myself aged 15

Palace fans are just amazing 👍🆙
I've just seen myself steam the pitch aged 15 years old, I look exactly the same 30 years later :-)

Remember this & when we got promoted in 1979 👏👏
Back when one of the best formats in sports was even crazier than it is now.

That main stand has seen everything. 1924 to 2021, will it see more memorable moments?

First...EEEAGLES!!!
Crystal palace

Go on palace
Ha, never seen a penalty that.
No penalty
It was! Why?
Because the referee said so.
That's been the way since football began.
But now VAR🤔
Tom Clark took you 8 months to think of that?
This has taken me 4 years but I hope ur eyes have been corrected, clear foul. In box. Straight through the back of a player, that a red in todays game
@@rexxy3228 took you 35 years more like, still wrong
@@rexxy3228 Except it wasn't in the box, and absolutely nobody claims it. It was a terrible decision in 1989. It is a terrible decision now.
