SUBJECT + PREDICATE = SENTENCE

  • There are two (2) parts to a sentence: the subject and the predicate:
    📌 The first (1st) part of a sentence is the SUBJECT. It tells you WHO or WHAT the sentence is ABOUT.
    📌 The second (2nd) part of a sentence is the PREDICATE. It tells you WHAT the subject is DOING or WHAT the subject IS.
    (Most sentences begin with a subject, but you can have sentences that begin with the predicate followed by the subject.) But in general, the subject is the first part in a sentence.

    Romans 5:1-2
    Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
    By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
