A Grand Railway Adventure for Thomas

I take Tommy on a railway adventure from Wellingborough to Bletchley in hopes of seeing trains at speed. Our first train was late leading to us missing our train along the Marston Vale so I took my son to the first site of the original Bedford Railway Station, later renamed Bedford St John's Station.
We missed a Black5 going through Bletchley but we made up for it in "Tommy Smiles".
Once back at Bedford Railway Station, I questioned someone's authority who happened to be the Station Manager.

That was a great tribute to Keith Purple and what made it special for me was you did it in "Tommy Vision" trains through the eyes of a child. 🥰. Smilevideotrains would have enjoyed that and I'm sure he will be looking down on you and "Smiling" 👌🙏👍.

It's a shame they couldn't somehow incorporate the old St Johns Station into the new East West line as a mark of the lines history. Looks like you had an awesome day out.
Was sad to hear about Keith, sadly never had the pleasure of meeting him but really enjoyed his work & he will be a big miss to the community. RIP Sir
Yh or atleast clean the site up for a small heritage museum. Lay some tracks and get save some locos from being scrapped by having static displays there. Just needs a bit of thought and money

Hi purple x Tommy 😊 sorry to hear about Keith passing 🥺 when my dad had a shop in midland rd Bedford I used to walk to old st.johns station and catch train to see my grandad on crossing duty at Wotton broadmead.Driver used to let me sit in spare seat at front of train 🚂🚃🚃🚃
