FINAL FANTASY IX GLITCH: I'VE NEVER SEEN A MORE CORRUPT GAME!

While playing Final Fantasy IX Randomizer, I stumbled across an insane glitch during the boss battle with Zorn and Thorn. Upon using Madeen with Steiner (twice), the game glitches out so bad that I cannot even see the characters names or the menu actions. Even the boss and the background were covered in a crazy, pixelated mess!

Oh gee I used an application on a game that was not designed to use that application, I wonder why the game is having a glitch now?

I've never used a randomizer (although it sounds and looks crazy fun) so I've never seen a glitch like this. That blows x.x glad you could recover with the reset lol

I've never seen this in normal or otherwise plays of it. I haven't done the randomizer yet as I'm on the Alternate Fantasy mod currently and probably will be experimenting with other FFIX challenges like Amarant only (from the beginning by memory/savegame hack) and/or story progression changes. If a streamlined mod or hack for skipping cutscenes were employed that would be a game-changer. Also something that could open up the game very early like Disc 3 is such a mod that allows Vivi to exit Alexandra at the start of the game and battle on the world map (with more abilities and support abilities thrown in).
I've had some strange things in battle when messing around changing mem values but nothing like that. Its cool that the ATB bars aren't effected. The models are insane with trippy effects! No idea what would cause that either.

Mog lost his memory. After dying physically, he can't remember who is Eiko anymore and become Steiner's guardian mog instead.

Of course it happens... Steiner never summons Madeen in the first way. He never summons anything.

I had the same on final fantasy VIII in Timber against 3 G-Soldiers. I'm surprised that it happened in both final fantasy VIII and IX. If anyone have something similar it would be great to share it with us

I have on FF8 Disc 1. I've used a game shark on it once, and once in awhile it'll glitch out. The glitch looks about the same except everything goes pink not black. And I see a bunch of 100110 on top of the screen.
