If anyone hasn't played EDF, it's probably the most fun you could have in a game. especially with a few of your friends. it's not the prettiest game, has some bugs (pun intended) but it's an absolute blast to play (pun intended again)

A Ranger running, screaming for help at the Balams who got swarmed by FLYING INSECTS, and then he turns around to shoot two missiles at that giant fire Godzilla(forgot the name) as a parting shot... which kills it. Cue the Ranger collapsing while proudly crying tears of joy.

let me get this straight: A single hornet stayed to distract the majority of the EDF forces, while the boss took care of the stragglers. Either the enemy's AI is smart... or your allies are just complete morons XD
If it's like it was in EDF 2025, the AI just attacks the closest enemy, for both sides. Combine that with the difficulty of punching a single wasp, and you've got the stage set for wacky giant robot slapstick while not-godzilla stomps you into the dirt.
It's moments like these that I am utterly thankful for my distinctive pop cultural tastes, for without them, I wouldn't be able to savor this moment. I am truly, truly blessed.
This game can be played in co-op couch mode. For anyone reading comments and new to PS4 who want to play at home with mates, get this game. It is mindless mayhem but couch co-op and great fun. A bit repetitive but crazy fun.
Two major things wrong with this game just from this clip. 1. Giant reload bar across the middle of the screen. So annoying. They can place this at the bottom of the screen. The motion of the bar filling ensures that no player will be able to ignore it. 2.Having no idea what the enemies health level is at. The player was running away for help even though the monster only needed 2 more shots because he had no clue.
You know you don't fight these things in every mission, right? You fight giant ants and spiders that are WAY smaller. (The tiny things crawling on the mechs.) And you fight those ants and spiders (aliens too) in huge hordes, so if you had a health bar for all of them it would be hell.
+Dave Mire thats kinda the idea the Ergineus aka kaiju didnt exist in EDF 2025...4.1 is just an improved version of 2025 with more missions, more weapons, etc but the Ergineus is a new enemy and its sorta themed on Pacific Rim, when you first encounter an Ergineus they say they detected it via "new seismic readings in the pacific" which is kinda how Pacific Rim's plot was so its a great nod to the movie i guess :P

EDF will never have a good story as it's writing largely is a parody of cheesy monster movies and thats part of the game EDF will never have good graphics because the fully destructible environment mixed with weapons that blow up half the city would make the game lag to hell on console and require a hell of a PC just to hold a stable 60
no, from the recoil of Balam's punch and whatever the attack is, make the weapon system malfunction. so they decided to lock the weapon system and made balam can only fight with Hand-to-hand- combat. P.S. I'm japanese so im not good at english. forgive me, yeh. english is difficult, you know.
