I like how the purple works with the orange. Maybe show your granddaughter a picture of the sweater you were thinking of making her and maybe she will change her mind.
If you want more pop of color on the shawl I would go with the teal, but I like the purple more myself. We are having wonderful fall colors here in Montana. My favorite part. I am loving my string of beads mitts and will definitely make more. Will send the pics. I have some hats to post too. Just been busy. Enjoy your trip.
