This was by far the best demonstration of Flight 1's GTN 750 I've been able to find on RUclips. Earned you a sub and thank you... cheers!
I often get a lot of comments on why I 'stopped' making videos. These videos were incredibly time consuming to make and with a Full-time job and family the time really wasn't there to continuing making them. I'm really proud of the videos that are there and I really appreciate all the comments (I read them all!). Enjoy your PMDG 747's everyone ;)
FightOrFlight your videos are so amazing !!! These reviews and tutorial flights are so good !
Can we hope to see some news ones in the future ?
Just one more question
What did you use to get your landing rate at touchdown ?
I really liked the fact that you turned off the engine etc. sounds and didn't have music drowning everything you said, as is the case with the majority of RUclips presenters. Thank you for an excellent overview.
Well done that man. This is an object lesson on presentation. Concise, terse, and thankfully entirely free of "y'knows", "errs", "umms" and "what's up". I'm certain that subscribers really appreciate a well-prepared and well-edited video. Congrats.
Really great video. The scripted nature of the delivery that at first makes a bit less natural is more than made up for by it being so well organized and no umms and ahhhs. Thanks a lot!
I have been looking for this video for a long time now. Concise, detailed and well presented. I had to pause occasionally for notes and digestion, but that means it was of great value. Looking to justify buying the 750 and have hesitated due to reading the complexity of some installations. It is not a click and install software and I fear spending months getting it to fit and work properly without repeated visits to forums, searching for detailed answers. Then I saw that Real Air Lancair has one installed and wondered if it could be used elsewhere, thinking probably not. That would be a 2 for 1 deal and surely not good for business. Alas... Regardless, thanks for the best tutorial on the GTN750 of the many I have watched and tried to watch.
Regards from Texas

My god those possibilities are simply unbelievable, and this for a simulation. I urgently have to bring my copy into service. Thanks for that brilliant tutorial!
you are going to get a lot of subscribers ,a career in aviation is not just a job, it is a passion,I greatly appreciate your hard work. best tutorial ever,,
vsop240 Thanks very much for the kind words!
WHOA! I took notes alllll the way through. Excellent material. Just installed the 750 in my Duke Turbine v2. Lookin forward to future vids on this GPS. Subscribed!
One of the best youtube tutorials I have ever seen, thank you
Subscribed! I'm just getting ready to purchase this for my A2A Skylane and found your channel. Thank you so much for sharing this info with us. Your presentation is EXCELLENT. You have a great voice and it's obvious that you have prepared meticulously before making this video. PLEASE continue to produce this quality content. Best of luck and best wishes for you and yours :)
Bravo! Best demo to date on the 750. Well done!
January 14 th 2020, I realized I can use airway in the gtn instead of typing manually all the waypoints.
I use the GTN about 2 years I believe, and as you say, every day you learn new things.
Great video and awesome graphics! Thanks for taking the time to put it together!
Another brilliant, informative tutorial! Great work!
This was a helpful video while I was researching add-on GPS units for FSX.
The one thing I would point out for anyone else who might be researching as well, is that in FSX, map panning feature seems to only work in the pop out, 2D version and not in the VC like in the video. I'm assuming you're using P3D? I've read that it works on that platform, but not FSX and I think the Steam version as well.
It isn't a huge deal for me personally, but it was a bit of a "aww, that's too bad" feeling once I found out.
Thanks again for the video!
Excellent video on the GTN. This is a better description of the GTN than Garmin provides!
Thanks for the video, really nicely made and I got the GTN 750 because of it! Looking forward to the next one, subscribed!
Sam Cooper Cheers Sam! Glad you like it. The GTN 750/650 is a lovely bit of kit.

Peter Matthess Mantock! Thanks for the comment matey, big fan of your videos so it means a lot. Maybe we should do a shared cockpit sometime? ;)
FightOrFlight yea that would be great,
Great work! You've sold me.
Thanks! :)
Great video - well presented!
Impresssive presentation, thanks. Re the pdf kneeboard, do you know where it can be downloaded now? My researches have led nowhere. chrs
Great Video and looks like I will be getting a new add on
Thanks! And enjoy, you're gonna love it!
Thanks for your video! where can the updated airacs for the GTN 750 be purchased? the mods are outdated and someone told me that they were from Jeppsen and that I would have to buy them but they didn't tell me where to buy them. for your attention, thank you very much.
Great video - many thanks. Where is it possible to get a hold of those types of charts you had on your kneeboard please?
super demo!! very detailed, definitely deserved to be subscribed to! thanks.
please tell me if this can be dragged and dropped onto a touch screen.
Love the way you explain this new addon thnk y
Marin Delgado Thanks Marin!
Excellent tutorial.
***** Thanks a lot for the comment Michal, much appreciated!
Mine just shows a black screen. Would not incorporate into the cockpit of the Cessna C182 until I updated Accusim from A2A. I still can't get the addon Gps's to function however.
great tutorial and cracking landing
***** Cheers Lewis, I wish I could say they were all like that! I recorded that landing from about 5 different angles, thankfully I edited them all out just before uploading the video. I think I made the right choice haha :)
FightOrFlight Whats your gameplan, do you have further review/tutorial videos planned? Very impressed.
***** I don't really have a 'gameplan' as such, but I've got a few more ideas for videos planned...Any suggestions? ;)
Hi
I take it from your review that the 750 works fully in the USA But how good is it on Europe Airpots Can you import airport and ils charts for Europe into the 750
A good review
From what I've heard yes, you can
Good demo, thanks.
How did you get the Bendix King HSI installed in this aircraft? This is the A2A Skylane, correct? Mine has a standard DG.
Great review, thanks. Whats the gauge, addon, whatever... that gives you the landing result instantaneously?
Nice concise video! how do you think this unit compares with the Garmin G1000?
This may be a stupid question but how do you activate the unit to follow flight plan for example track and altitude once in the air? (I'm a novice to GPS).
Great video! what is the PFM ? is that a Plug-in?
Very good info! Do you think it works with P3D V3? Thanks!
Whats the app to have the charts on the side like you have them please? Great video by the way
Is it possible to have the g500/600 integrated in the vc cockpit as well ?
Premium content! Thank you!
Enjoyed that. Great tutorial
David Murden Cheers Dave, means a lot mate!
great idea, but not working yet for me on my setup : windows 10, p3dv4 , A2a c172 and your GTN750
Thanks for the video. Can you provide a link to somewhere that explains how to embed the F1 GTN750 into A2A aircraft - I have their Cessna 172
Superb! But I need to know about the OBS button. It always gives me grief!
How do you get it in the instrument panel??, mine only turns up as a pop up menu!
I’m having a problem I try to Install the trainer but it says another version is installed even tho I deleted it
What Scenery are you running here during this review ? Tks ! Megamass72
Can FSX flight plans be imported into the GTN-750 or can you only enter a flt. plan directly?
Thanks.
No, FSX/P3d flight plans cannot be imported. This is the case with all addon GPS systems that I've used which use Garmin as the base system. Reality XP, F1 GTN 750/650, etc. It's impossible since it's running independent as it's own entity. Someone would have to write a program to open the database that Garmin has and translate into FSX/P3d .pln format. This was a major drag for me when I first got the RXP gauge many years ago, but since I've learned to love it for it's independent and proper behavior. It also helps that I don't use FSX or P3d as my flight planner or ATC. If you use FSX as your flight planner or an addon of sorts that exports a flight plan for FSX you could always find ways to still edit them in FSX flight planner to match the Garmin, or the other way around. Keep in mind that in FSX flight planner not all waypoints are listed but if flying actual airways you'll rarely have FSX ATC say you're off course.
how do you start the avionics i can't touch anything it doesn't start i hope you will read this?
If I was made of money and wanted to keep this updated with the latest airac, how would I do that?
Should I pay more if I want to integrate GTN750 to A2A Cherokee?
New sub! This was an amazing video!
f0kk3r10 Thanks very much! stay tuned for more! :)
hello friend how to install gtn750 in a2a ? I buy and not be able to install it help me?
Nilson Cruz get the accusim core update
Can you get PDFKneeboard for P3D? Great video!
Where can I find the PDFKneeboard for P3D?
Thx
For some reason, i cant get the gps to link with one of the cdi’s
Hi! What Scenery addon used in this video? This is Gex?
Lantos István Hi Lantos, I'm using ORBX Global/Vector and OpenLC Europe with ORBX HD Trees
New sub. Thank you!
thx for the video, can I have some questions?
why is everyone talking about AS integration when it comes to weather? why cant it read weather info directly from the simulator?
i used fs9 and p3d4.5 a big step i know. but still i didnt experience huge severity of the weather (i use FSrealWX pro or IVAO for real weather). so while its fun, you still cant get serious problems you can fly into any TS and nothing happens... so until the sim developers actually make that you can fall out of a cloud bcos of icing, or a WS slams your AC to the ground, the weather is more like a cosmetic thing...
good demo btw, but i still find these ridiculously overpriced... especially wo the updates. it cost almost as much as the new MSFS lol :D
the 2002 website looking symbology makes it super undesirable...
Thank you so much
For a VOR approach, does the CDI button need to be set to GPS or VLOC?
+EKopps071592 For a VOR approach the CDI should be set to VLOC. I fly real world aircraft utilizing the 750 and haven't tried this software, but any GPS should be set to VLOC when you are doing a VOR approach.
+Billy Lane Thanks
Excelente
Can charts be included for european airports?
Can I use GTN 650 in carenado seneca V ?
I have bought the complete page for p3d v4,
but it haven't been working well, not smooth and the update tool not even supports updates to p3d v4.
Today 10-10-2017 I updated the client in p3d up to 4.1.7.22841
and now the GTN 750 isn't compatible.
Last time I made a comment about this software the comment section was been closed some days after.
Alexander Myrthue best thing to do is send a support ticket directly to Flight1. I heard the 4.1 update is coming soon. As for the lag, make sure you go into the gtn configurator and change the cpu core setting. 2 is good for me.
If you wanna add South America charts you have to pay more for it or what...
Thanks!
"The ability to view charts on the device. . . it comes with a full data base of charts for all NA airports (1:30)---Wrong! US coverage only. No Canada. The term "North America" is inclusive to Canada. You should make this clear. Quote from www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=gtncomplete : "Allows you to view the electronic versions of AeroNav terminal procedures charts (US Coverage Only / GTN 750 Only)."
Sooo no airac updates?
hall ich hab die Do 228 und ich bekomme die GTn 750 nich an
Can you update the airac?
I’m gonna have to drop a pot of gold in order to buy this.
Any demo sir?
I could never get used to all that ugly aliasing on the map.
is this aircraft free?
Saucy Gaming 2 heck no
Hey you are reddit screenshot guy. Hello
Mirandorl Hi there, yes that's me! :) thanks for the comment.
FightOrFlight Thank YOU for the review :) Another one to add to the ever growing list of addons I am coveting
HA! One year later, finally bought it :) Its great
For the price they charge, its cool but it aint THAT cool! I'll pass for now.
I'll tell you it is THAT cool.

While this instrument is great for the purist, I must question it's usefulness in the real world of fight simulator enthusiasts. In the end, this is mostly a navigation module. The first and foremost thing many FS people want is the ability to "move (drag) the aircraft to a location" and a simple "fly to" in autopilot. THIS IS AN ADD-ON FOR A SIMULATOR, NOT A REAL AIRPLANE !!! I don't want to sit there in my computer chair twiddling my thumbs for two hours or more waiting on the next "way point". It's no wonder they provide music. As such, I am going to buy any of the other navigation programs which ALL seem to allow that (dragging the airplane icon to a new location). Without that, I consider this to be an extreme time waster when in a simple simulator. Tell me it ain't so.
If you are only interested in FS as a "Game", then you could be right, but if like millions of other, if you are interested in simulating "real flight", immersion in the experience, and a desire to understand how to get to point "B" in any weather condition instruments are essential. You should try to fly once using the "realism" slider all maxed, so you can learn how to land, as well. This IS the real world of Flight Sim, not just the game part! Cheers!
Each person has their own use for the simulator. Some take it very seriously and want everything to be technically perfect. Others want much less for a whole variety of reasons including available time. FSNavigator was one of the most popular programs ever because it had something for everyone. My original message was purely a way of expressing to the creators of how to move more units to a bigger number of people. But if they don't want to do that, fine. I have lots of other alternatives that do incorporate my suggestions. Personally, game or no game, I am not going to sit around waiting on way points when this is a PC, not a real airplane. But I do respect those that want purism too.
Brilliant video! Thanks
