druno82 my first time hearing this young man sing but I have to admit ,I really enjoyed it ,It wasn’t what I expected to hear at all , since I’m use to hearing Don Gibson sing it and I really enjoyed his style of guitar picking WOW he really chose the hard way of delivery!!!!!
This is so disgustingly good it makes me physically sick. The bend at 1:10 alone makes this better than the album version but then he throws that ridiculous outro solo in as well like it’s nothing. It disgusts me that he can just pick up a Tele and crank out this genius. “Let’s do a fun track where I’m not just playing the banjo.” I had to lie down after watching this video. He’s just getting better and better. This man is a revelation. We’re lucky to be alive to see this.
Just wow. I am still digesting what I just heard, still processing the amazing picking of a master and how it figures in a song that ends up just well.... good.
I absolutely love this version of one of my very favorite songs ever recorded. I also love the sound of his guitar, and this style of picking ,and your beautiful voice and you’ve got it made . Plus ,,, you did it your way and I congratulate you for that . I can be feeling really low and lonely and you just pick me up and make me feel like dancing 🤗 thank you so very much !!!!
The tree that supplied the wood to make that Tele. was meant for that song. Awesome. Thanks for the share Noam, your banjo work is second to none for me but I could listen to you play that sweet Tele for days.
Almost nobody knows that, long before he became a Punch Brother, Noam was the owner/operator of an Internet forum called the Telecaster Discussion Page. Its successor, under different ownership, is still online as the Telecaster Discussion Page Reissue, AKA "TDPRI."
I had to laugh at the end, for a second I wondered why ziti had made me laugh, it was simply because it was so good, no other reaction would suffice, I went from being a bit fed up and gloomy to inspired, just like that. Fantastic.
Noam Pickelny deserves way more attention.
The fact he plays guitar that good in ADDITION to the banjo is clearly unfair :D

Wow, I'll say. He gets a lot though and deserves it....Jack Baker
And to have his last name spelled correctly
I can watch this over and over and over and it still sounds fresh.

Noam Pikelny plays so good he should have a Surgeon General's warning tattooed on his picking hand.
He played country guitar for a long time
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he didn't just pick up the tele and crank this out. He's worked at it
Don’t get disgusted. Practice :)
He’s put in a lot of hours to play like he does.
He’s a humble, hardworking, generational talent. Go Noam!
Fucking dime a dozen singers get all the glory and guys like these get nothing you deserve a million views my friend good luck

This might be my favorite version of this song I've ever heard.

I can’t get enough of Noam Pikelny ‘s singing and playing “My Tears Dont Show “ I would love to see and hear him in person
...and this isn't even his first instrument. Blown away...wow.
Well done! I just heard this song - said "sounds like he's picking a guitar - I've got to see this" and I'm not disappointed one bit. Hot damn.
Yes there is such a thing as genius. I been playing for 50 years and Im lost in the space between the stars.
The tree that supplied the wood to make that Tele. was meant for that song. Awesome.

This is so great I have to watch it everyday. To think that this is only a secondary instrument for him...
Probably third after his Tricone tenor guitar...
Holy jumpin' up and down, Noam is unbelievable on guitar too?...Jack Baker NYC/NJ
Great playing, I really enjoy Noam's music.

That style of playing is real cool.He does real justice to the sound of the telecaster. Real great pickin.
This is excellent! And what a virtuosity at the interludes! 😎❤👍

I Love this. I'm truly happy I found this channel.

This freaking guy, how does anyone NOT like him ? @ 2:26 - 3:00

He's a legend in his own time.

You damn right
Good lord that was amazing. 🤭
This might be my favorite track on the album, up there with Folk Bloodbath. Such a treat to hear you play electric, Merle Travis pickin' style!
I love this!! Been working working on the arrangement past couple nights. Noam is sooo good!
Now thats a two for one
what style or genre of tele picking is this and how do i find more?
... and that's how it's done my friends ...
Anyone remember "geese farts on a muggy day"? A great tradition.
Someone had to takeover the Kottke tradition! Ooo! Noam needs a 10 string banjo!
Yup, and I'd bet Noam has the chops to play a 10 string banjo.
I listen to this recording several times a day , every day !!!!I love him !!!
I never understood why Leo was so hard on himself; he has a great voice!
Leo and Noam and others are just genius. Ya just cant learn this stuff.
Tell canty thanks for lettin me go to church 0:24
Someone please push Noam and Tommy Emmanuel together for some collab gold.🙏
Oh ill tell em
Okay ill just grab one
As long as Noam sticks to the banjo he can do no wrong.
If he would choose to pick the guitar forever like he does here I wouldn't complain..
Didn’t Bela say this about him?
@@christiankenney2059 In that Funny or Die spoof video they all made -- yes. That's definitely the joke OP is referencing here. ; )
@@samuelbarham8483 mind providing a link to that video?
Noam is the master of chicken picking as well as banjo.
Okay ill sing staff blue moon of kentucky keep on shining 2:15
Is he using finger picks on index and middle fingers? I can’t tell from the dim lighting.
Oh wow!
Is it possible to find the chords\tab\sheet anywhere?
for purchase even? ;-)
+JoshTurnerGuitar Universal Favorite, or The Other Favorites? 🤔
Incredible playing. Loving all your stuff sir!! What kind of a Tele is this? I've searched the google machine and it couldn't tell me. Dying to know
Owen Lamont Fender Blackguard Telecaster might get you close to what you’re looking for.
It's a vintage '54. He plays a G&L ASAT too.
searches reverb for telecaster
Canty i feel like shit okay ill grab two aqwas 0:39
Great guitar and voice. In my humble opinion this song was meant to be sung much slower. To me, Don Gibson sung the definitive version.
Ok can you play the baritone sax too just so you can humble like every musician ever
Who knew an electric geetar could sound like a banjo...
Korn trust me i have had enough of it. 1:27 1:27
Interesting rythm - I can't quite figure it out.
Fender "Hellacaster"
There are apparently 8 people who are complete morons. Great job! That Tele sounds fantastic.
Forget it im makin a grog
Root beer
Not bad.
A little Chet Atkins... I would've gone with the key of G...
