- In this week's Cache Walk we are down in the moat surrounding the Tower of London. Come for a walk through the wild flowers planted to celebrate Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee.
Holy cow you two go to some of the coolest places!
My Geocaching Video Challenge for you is to try and make a Lamp Post Cache hide look AMAZING! :) Seriously, what an awesome castle!
One day we will give an LPC a go :-) Yes the Tower of London is definitely a special place.
That looked amazing! We've been to the Tower of London.
Catching up on videos.
Thanks, yes amazing to be walking amongst so many flowers.
Price seems a bit expensive but that’s London for you! Nice place though and I loved seeing all the flowers! The slide was fun!
Yes a bit expensive but definitely a fun day out.
We've visited the Tower on several occasions but never from this point of view. Beautiful! 😍🌸
Yes it was wonderful walking around the moat in amongst the flowers. A new experience for us.
Such beauty. I love the look of English gardens. 🦀
Those flowers were amazing. We have never been in amongst such a wonderful display.
Any of the flower pictures would look amazing as enlargements on a bathroom wall, or to brighten up any room. Your photos are really lovely. Also love the music of Eric Satie. Gorgeous.
Yes very beautiful flowers we have never seen such a display before. We must have been at least 2 hours walking along and filming.
That looks really cool. We went down to the a local orchard walked around in a sunflower field last weekend. It was super hot. I get the masks though, my and his girlfriends family did a cruise to spain. He got lucky and did not get covid but his girlfriend did. She had to stay in Spain for another week. He had to come home because he was starting a new job as soon as he got back. Her mom stayed with her.
Lucky she had someone to stay with her. Walking through a sunflower field is something we would like to do one day. Would love to fly our drone over one 🙂
Now there's an interesting location. Glad to see you guys out on your worldly travels again and can't wait to see more videos of the locations you visit!
Yes great to be travelling again. Hope to make scotland on this trip.
Thank you for sharing! what month and day did did you visit the super bloom?
We were there on Saturday 25 June.
What a beautiful place and what a lovely flowers! 🤩🤩
Yes very beautiful. We have never walked through flowers like these before. Thanks for commenting.
Beautiful! What a fantastic place to see. Very innovative and very nice indeed. Sounds like its cooled off a little too.
Yes temperatures are cooler now. Has been as high as 37C on a few afternoons.
That is absolutely beautiful. I hope they decide to make it a permanent exhibit.
Yes looks like it's going to be permanent.
Good to see you wearing masks. Looks wonderful.
Thanks. It's a long long way home if we get sick and the medical system here, like most places, is understress.
That's beautiful! Another really nice video. I hope you managed to find a cache today :)
Thanks, yes have a few on the list for today. Our day is just starting 7:30am Saturday 20th here in Ireland. If the weather improves they will be around a path along the Cliffs of Moher. Did you have any special ones picked out for today?
@@GeoRick I did! Went to Gorby's event GC9Y2KN and found a few caches before and after that as well.
You forgot to go geocaching lol..........!
Yes 🙂sometimes we forget too 🙂wish we had some way of being reminded 😀
Nice to see the Tower of London from another perspective.
Yes and there is an unusual angle shot of Tower Bridge near the end.
Very nice! In August of 2019 my family and I went to London and had an excellent time! It was really hot and by the time we got to see the Tower of London, we were sort of done with paying for going into everything so we just walked around outside. I found a couple caches near the Themes while we visited and we took our best family photo there as well. We finished the day by taking a boat up to Greenwich and walking up the hill to the observatory, where I found the geocache that's my farthest east of the Prime Meridian - all the way around the planet to just an inch or so west of the Prime Meridian! (it was the Prime Meridian virtual) Thank you for sharing in your London adventure and I hope you were able to get the footage you needed to complete the video that I helped you with on the US side!
The Greenwich boat trip sounds great and a special geocache too. Thanks will put in on our list for another visit. Yes we got to the place so your footage is going to be great when I edit it in a few weeks time. We have so much footage to edit!
@@GeoRick when you take the boat to Greenwich, there's quite an uphill walk up to the observatory, so it's tough when it's hot. But it's a fun virtual because you place your feet on either side of the prime meridian. I laugh because the cache registers just west (I believe) of the PM so while it's my closest to the PM going west, it's my farthest going east. 🙂
@@GeoElmoGeocaching definitely a cool cache.
Hi are you going up to Liverpool on your UK trip?
Yes Liverpool is on our list of places to go. Hope to walk down Penny Lane.
@@GeoRick Don't forget the Albert Dock area there's an amazing walk of creative caches x
@@minsmolls thanks will check it out.
Neat
Never seen such beautiful flowers before. It was a special place.
@@GeoRick one day I would like to get over there
