I find these very interesting speakers. The midrange should be among the best. Did you succeed in controlling the bass? Is it also capable of good instrument separation in classical concerts? What amplifier are you using? Thanks for your reply. Greetings from Netherlands.
Hi, Yes, the bass is sorted now. I put them on high-quality heavy stands. Played with positioning as well quite a lot. My room got it's own limitations. Speakers gets better and better every day as Im still running in these. I can't see the reason why it shouldn't be capable with classical music. Instruments sound so real with these speakers, it's hard to believe sometimes. Bass is so good as well, fast, deep and articulate. Nothing like these commercial paper dust boxes. My front end Ear Yoshino V12, Macbook+Audirvana and Qutest.
Thanks for your reply. The doubt is that people let you believe it should be a three way speaker. But in a smaller room I think these serve better as it are high quality speakers. Meaning you can here everything with 2 quality speakers as well. Mr Graveson himself seems also very enthusiastic about these.
Well...I loved my D1, but 71 is like listening music with ears unplugged. Much more refined, it is true hi end..no comparison really. D1 sounded like a toy, which entertains to some degree, like majority of the rest commercial speakers.
Yes, needs decoupling as my flat is very responsive to the bass. Placement is not the best atm as well. But straight from the box it sounds amazing. 60h break in atm everything is opening up
Very nice! I'm gonna build these as well.
You won't be disappointed!

How do they compare to the Proacs in the corner?
