I've been listening to this song since the early 1990's (it came out in 1989.), and I'm still enjoying it as much as ever. I love the vocals, instrumentation, lyrics, and pretty much everything about this song. The official video was very well made and worth watching too. In my opinion Wicked Game is one of the most beautiful songs ever made. Personally, it was the perfect expression of what was going on in my life in the 1990's, and of the culture in general. Wicked Game was also used in a TV program I used to watch, and in a great movie I saw. As usual great reaction, and I always enjoy hearing your thoughts on great songs.
Chris’s voice is amazing as usual and his band were as tight as any I’ve ever heard. It sounds like an actual recording instead of a live performance. And they were doing this in a studio with no audience. I also like Chris’s sandals.
When you hear that slight hitch in his voice that's native to east Texas where it came from the Irish. You can hear it in Deloris Riordon's voice from the Cranberrys.
He’s terrific in concert with a great sense of humor! He really interacts with the fans well! If you get a chance, try some of his other songs because he’s got a sly sense of humor and wordplay. That is really terrific in some of his songs (that aren’t sad !😂).

It's a great song and Chris Isaak is a terrific talent. I saw him and his band many years ago and it was a fantastic show. But this performance has been pitch corrected. His notes land exactly on the desired pitch. Nobody is that good. Does that detract from my enjoyment of the piece? Nope.
