Good on you. Don't think people realise. It gets harder the older you get & tiles just keep getting bigger & heavier. I should've tried harder at school !!
@@grantmackinnon1307 I’ve been doing tile since 98 minus several years during the 08 market collapse. I’m about twenty years younger than Sal and I hope to get as good as him one day. He definitely is the top of the food chain in his field of work.
Omg,we’re so glad to find your channel.Just subscribed.I’ve never used underlay or levellers. I haven’t done a tile job in 10 years. I’m a diy guy. What would you recommend Sir?
Another awesome video Sal thanks! If I'm installing 3' X 9.5" ceramic plank wood tile over Ditra underlay I should us non-modified thinset to cement the tile to the ditra? Also how do you remove the spacers for the leveling system once the thinset is dry?
Are you still on Patreon? I went on there to ask a question and looks like you haven't posted there in awhile. Am about to lay travertine french pattern in a bath and there is no room for leveling spacers since small pieces are cut to be same size as larger pieces. Planning to use difference size leveling spacers (1/8 and 1/16) to try to make pattern line up and be level, sound ok? Thank you!!
Hey Sal, curious on this one how you're able to set some of the pieces more than 33% offset? Most of the time I'm seeing the manufacturers don't want more than 33% due to the arch in the material. Would love to hear your take. Enjoy the videos!
I did a 500 Sq ft room doing this and couldn't walk for a few days. I have no idea how you do this physically day in and day out. Props

Yeah it’s a bitc* but the reward is worth it. Tile Guys get Paid huge if they are good. Sal is the upper echelon.

What's the reason that you used the permat instead of another underlayment like ditra or mapegaurd?
Very nice, what grout are you using on this?
Seems like a whole lot of extra work compared to detra

You need a good leveling system
How come you don’t hire a helper ?
Because it’s hard to find someone worth the investment.
