Excellent choices Raj, Givenchy Xeryus is great isn't it, i picked up a vintage bottle of that one a few months ago 😀 great minds. I did get a bottle of AHS Superleggare recently, i love the original AHS so had to add it to the collection. Last week i wore Hermès Equipage Geranium, Pal Zileri Cuoio, Carven Homme & Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum. On the weekend i wore Patrick by Fragrances of Ireland ✌️
Dior Homme and Homme Intense are the only fragrances in my collection with backups. Probably my favorite scents in my (too large) collection. The softness with depth and the nostalgia all play into it. My silver stem is very nice but all through 2019 are pretty great in their own way. I found Dior Homme Original and post-2020 DHI far heavier on iso e super and a bit lighter than older bottles. Creation E/Enigma is one of my favorites from Roja. I like to layer the Parfum and the Parfum Cologne in super cold weather. Keep it up, Raj!
Sadly, lazy attempt abound these days. Then again, at least as many designers go, perfume may actually be a side gig, so it makes sense if they're allocating resources to the more profitable areas. A great vid Raj. Personally, I took quite a bit out of my bottle of Special 127 this past week to try and compensate for the low projection. Pretty much the same powdery rose-patchouli-musk as No.89, but I can't get enough of that petitgrain opening. Fortunately, the base layers exceptionally well with most barbershop fougeres, so it didn't hinder further spraying. 😉 Hope you have a great week!
I had the exact same experience with Dior Homme. I wore it again after nearly 4 years, and it blew my socks off, such a classy and masterful scent. Prior to wearing it again, I was rotating between 3/4 scents for about 6 months and had even gone some days without wearing a fragrance (which might explain my break from reviewing last year), and I felt that had an impact on how I experienced Dior Homme again. Like addicts, sometimes we need a detox to enjoy fragrances again.
Thanks. Good to be back. They repackaged it a few years ago and called it Dior Homme Original. I’ve never tried it though. The new one now confusingly called Dior Homme is completely different.
Do you still own any clive Christians? Recently picked up rock rose & blonde amber. Both amazing but rock rose is great for everyday wear. If I was rich enough it'd be my signature scent but I'm not so I'll have to save it special occasions 😂
Nice to see you post regularly again. Good selection of perfumes
Excellent choices for the week...
Thanks Jim. Hope you’re well.
Great hearing what fragrances you're wearing.....Dior Homme vintage One of my favorites (using sparingly) ..... some great pick to wear
Yeah it’s lovely. Need to try the latest version but have heard it’s not as good.
I thumbed it up even before watching it, so confident was I it was gonna be great. And it was!
Thank you! Always great to hear from you.

Nice picks mate. If only more brands made scents like Xeryus.

That’s great to hear. And that layering combo of Enigma/Creation E sounds epic.

Yeah I think it is a side gig. You have luxurious fashion brands and their fragrances don’t match up. Re. Floris that layering combo sounds great.

Good point mate. Definitely a good idea to not be hasty and give all frags a proper chance.
Great selection Raj! Are you planning to get another bottle of Dior Homme?
Thanks mate. I’m tempted if I can find an older bottle. Not exactly at the top of the list but probably one day.

Parfum colognes are shite. Just get the original
SOTD: Patchouli Noisette
SOTN- Roja PDLN2
Haven’t bought a Roja for a long time but tempted to buy a Parfum version of something.
@ well if you don’t own DIAGHILEV , buy that .

Not any more but I do have a travel spray of C for men. Still love it. My dad has Noble Cypress. As you say they are too damn expensive nowadays!
Nice to see you post regularly again. Good selection of perfumes
