Your skipping school vlog is my fave, I’m glad your friendship with Ava has stayed. I’m on gap year with a group both post college and on gap year too. I find navigating friendships to be so scary - so I really relate to learning to be a good friend. This came at the perfect time

This video made me both sad and happy at the same time…..or maybe im just feeling nostalgic…..but like in a good way hah. I think talking about your friendships in college was an eye opener for me and kinda made me think of things that I haven’t before….like just how random and unique each of my friends are in college, definitely not like how each of us were in this sort of cliques in high school. Like I feel as if each friend of mine is from a completely different world than the other yet we get along so well and they make me happy…. Any who your videos always make me feel mushy and warm and now I miss my friends hah. As always, I love your videos and your energy always brightens my day and you seem like such a sweet person. Keep up the great work and just know that you impact people in ways you can’t imagine… even if it’s just with a simple video. I think you feel like your relationships with others not being 50/50 comes from the fact you carry leadership energy which makes you want to understand people more than you want to share about yourself. I’m the same way. I think the answer is to sort of assert yourself at certain times to get some of you across, but to be mostly humble.

American culture has a very compartmentalized way of friendships. In nearly every other country. You don’t have “work friends” and “college friends” - you just have “friends.” They’re harder to make. But more boundaries at first and then it’s very open.
