As a Half Pakistani Half Chinese, I have to visit the border sometime in my lifetime. Then I could step over the border and be truly in my countries at the same time
Forest makes me smile always, he saves any boring situation. He's a main personage in this trip as i feel, no doubts. Thx, friends, i still watch you and still enjoying.
But the border is so quiet and peaceful. How nice to see trust between two friendly countries. If only all country borders were so peaceful, with their neighbours.❤❤❤❤❤
Back in 1986 I visited Khunjrab Pass with a group of students and teachers of the Quaid I Azam University Islamabad. This video log brings back beautiful memories of our great advantage and fun. When we reached Khunjrab we were cold so we decided to run up to Chinese to warm up ourselves. Soon we realised that we were on the roof of the world and at this great altitude there is little oxygen, we got out of breath our skins turn blue due to little oxygen. Being young and silly we walked huffing and puffing, we walked into the Chinese area, wondering why there were no people nor boarder security around. We were excited waved at the sight of a military truck loaded with about 20 soldiers approaching us. Young Chinese soldier jumped off the truck and warmly greeted us with " Assalamulaikum " thrilled to meet our Muslim brothers and friends we had never met before we cheerfully responded. They took off their uniform jackets and placed them on our shoulders saying the Quranic Verses of Surah Al Fatiha " Alhamdulilahe Rabbul Alamein Malikay yaumideen.....". Ieyah kanabudu wa iyaknastaeen. ... we completed the verses of Quran. We communicate saying verses of Quran an expression of our bond. I noticed their leader was very angry with his soldiers for their display of affection and probably sharing their uniform jackets with us. Professor Zafar Iqbal our team leader talked to the Chinese commander apologised for recklessly crossing the border. Hugging and shaking hands with the boys in our team and bowing to the young ladies they returned to their military vehicle and left. We watched them bidding farewell and waving good bye until they disappeared. Still out of breath we got into our ride. Our breath was restored breaking to normal when we descended back to the last check Pakistani post .
Mistake of crossing boarder whether of friendly or other country may be very enthusiastic but without legal authority may cost some times heavily. One of senior govt officer crossed broder while chatting friendly with Chinees border watch persons however a solder from Chinees border force booked both of them. The officer was released after many days after govt of Pakistan request to the friendly country. We enjoyed visit of Khunjrab few months back. A barrier was mounted much before Chinees border and no one was allowed to cross. Otherwise Pakistan border force was very friendly. Paid wash rooms on Pakistan side were dirty and without water, NBP ATM was non functional. Contrary to what I heard about breathing problem , but Alhamdulillah despite being in late sixties I felt active with no skin or breathing issue, however children faced these issues. On the whole it was a memorable trip.
@@AAA-xw6tc Extremism in Pakistan is a big concern, people from northern Myanmar go to school every day in China, China provides free and compulsory education to high school. Vietnam women also can sold agricultural products in China streets every morning.
Love your content keep it up. Breathtaking mountains.. flowers between rocks, that's beautiful. And your wife is lovely, the kids are so sweet! I hope you enjoyed it there!! When you guys sat down to do the taste test, I was so jealous I want to be laying on those mountains!! Happy you enjoyed our dishes.
Wow... Wonderful to see my own country through the eyes of a very decent and generous American family. The comments made by the visitors make you feel proud being a pakistani. May God bless them always... Amin
@@BagsPackedFamily Thanks a lot ....funny enough I'm in UK , residence of Pakistan origin .im 71.came to UK in 1966 at.15.i wish to visit all those wonderful places in the Northern Pakistan one day...keep enjoying and be safe..... While on Tour its very imp that partner u have is humble and kind and cooperative. And I found this trait in both of u and specially in ur Misses. She is Super lady. Lots of love. It’s just love seeing ur family visiting Pakistan♥️
Great Video. I live in Canada for over 25 yers but I am from Pakistan. I have never visited the northern areas of Pakistan as I am from Pakistan's South (Karachi). This video is very well made and very informative. Thanks for sharing. ... Masood
Hey thanks for visiting beautiful Pakistan, nice video, i recently visited this wonderful northern areas in August just before flood on Motor Bikes, i mean its amazing experience on Bikes specially, thanks again bro...
Hi I am from Karachi I went there last year it was really amazing experience. They charge foreign tourist in dollars that the reason that more compared to local tourist and I found you guys really humble and soft nature. Specially u n ur wife.
❤🇵🇰❤ I am from Pakistan living in Germany from about 20 years. How sweeet baby 👶 I live to see the youngest bad man 🤣🤣🥰. love you all and thanks to show my beautiful country 🙏. God bless you Sir and your family. be safe always 👍
I just loved your vlog. 😍 No fancy glamor stuff, all natural, yet eye catching... I didn't lose my interest a bit through the whole thing. May be it's because I was there couples of weeks ago as well as back in 2018. The whole trip just passed before my eyes while watching your vlog. It's a shame that we couldn't go near the gate, We could go till covid happened. Lovely family, lovely captures, good times... I hope it will become a part of the good memories. Bless you.
Looks like the fee is a new thing, probably from too many visitors disrupting normal border activities. Regarding the China side, their border is far away from settled areas, so further to travel, I assume that would effect the number of visits. On Pakistan side, it has become a touristy thing to do, because of RUclips videos.
You should have to explore skardu side skardu places is so beautifull as well Like mantokha Waterfall , Shangrilla Lake,Upper Kachora Lake,Shigar Valley ,Shigar Fort , Kharpocha Fort, Deosae National Park .
Not sure why park entrance fee is so high, may be it is higher for foreigners you should have checked with locals, how much did they pay. I am pretty sure locals cannot afford that kind of fee.
It's high because the fee goes into looking after the heritage sites and the animals , plus it's the highest AtM in the world and the highest pave road and border in the world
18:44 The fee is for entering Khunjerab National Park Khunjerab National Park is house to Ibex , Blue Sheep and Markhor MARKHOR is the most revered hunt in the hunting world... its the most difficult hunt in the world... and thats why a permit or license to hunt a Markhor is a whopping $160,000
I hope, if you guys come next time, be sure to do some research. There are so many areas in Pakistan, more beautiful and where you don't have to pay much higher entrance fees. Like Neelum valley in Kashmir, and are breathtaking. Anyway, enjoy your trip ❣️🥰

The Chinese side of the border was closed to tourists due to covid and has since reopened until very recent time

small kid cute cute and so cute❤️🇵🇰
Did u pay 17500? Or 1750? As entrance fee? As far as I remember, it was 300 per person or maybe 350 now?

Very informative vlog will help me plan my journey. Thanks
Not sure why park entrance fee is so high, may be it is higher for foreigners you should have checked with locals, how much did they pay. I am pretty sure locals cannot afford that kind of fee.
I definitely thought the park entry fee was steep!
Possibly a rip off. The guy just arbitrarily took the money. Not sure if there was some kind of official/legal notice for the fee.
There is many historical placeses where just foreigner's has to pay
Entrence fee is always high for foreigner tourists every where it's not just Pakistan. But I don't agree with it .
It's high because the fee goes into looking after the heritage sites and the animals , plus it's the highest AtM in the world and the highest pave road and border in the world
Thanks sir , welcome pakistan, good video. God bless you n your family. MashaAllah 🇵🇰🇺🇸🇨🇳💪👍 enjoy.
