For anyone just getting into Nioh 2 now, that's watching these videos, it's helpful to understand that you don't NEED min/maxed stats, crazy builds, multiple buffs/debuffs to get through every bit of content. NG+4 (Dream of the Nioh) and all DLC, underworld, etc. I'm going through it now, just using whatever I pick up, underlevelled, all stats equal; no real "build" at all, and switching weapons every other mission. That said, that's for a very experienced player that knows all the tricks in combat, can dodge anything, etc. I'm not saying that as a pat on the back to myself, but to illustrate that you don't HAVE to worry about making a "perfect" build to clear all the content. I've seen many new players have decision paralysis because of all the options and the prep to achieve it. You can just roll with any weapons you like, with any gear, any stat spread, and use whatever you want and you'll be just fine. If you get stuck, practicing the combat is more valuable than some perfect build; the strong builds ARE fun to make, and they make life easier for sure. TL:DR: Nioh 2 is designed to be played however YOU want. You want to be OP and stomp everything? You can do that, but it takes time to set up. Don't feel like "grinding" to get perfect gear? You can beat everything without it. Want to be a combat master, and disregard all the building and rpg elements altogether? You can do that! Nioh 2 is a masterpiece that doesn't have a "right" or a "wrong" way to play it; all playstyles are valid. I just think it's a disservice to tell players you HAVE to use certain things, or have powerful builds to be successful, but it's fun and easier to do so.

I was doing okay in DotD for a long while. Just started in Shadow and I'm starting to feel the burn, enemies are becoming much more dangerous for me now.
Sacred Bird Cry damage isn't that great, but for me it's mainly used to fill the Yokai Shift meter. 5 hits gets around 20-25 out of 100. You can get Yokai Shift super quick.
Sacred Bird Cry is not a damage move Cowboy, it's really useful for breaking ki or getting you out of tight situations like interrupting attacks and giving you time to heal and such. Really good if you're running purity
It also fills the amrita by around 20% on a single target and it can go through multiple targets. If you turn off yokai shift as soon as you're done using it and you wait for the cool down you can use sacred bird cry to fill it back up again.
Cowboy was talking about that Blasphemous dlc resetting you, and he gave a good example with dark souls, so lemme give another. Imagine that every time you moved onto the next difficulty in Nioh 2, they reset your proficiency for each weapon.
Yea cowboy element weapon damage build is god like if you use dragon dance then press square after the ki reaches 0 you can stack the attack with carnage or tengen its awesome i did 25k damage with hatchets earlier using the boost
If you did a blind Let’s Play Darkest Dungeon I would totally jump up to the highest subscription category. That game is awesome, I would love to watch you figure out how to min max the various team compositions and it is also a terrific stream game ; tense, unpredictable, turn based so it allows you time to interact with the viewers and involve them in the gameplay if you so choose and it is a heavily skill based game despite all the random BS that can go wrong. Give it a thought :)
I saw I video showing that new l1 square sword move being dropped as a inheritable, also someone said they saw sotc drop as a inheritable too, all I wanna know is does flowing shadow finally drop as a inheritable??? do u no cowboy? or does anyone on here know????
So I started dream of the demon in Nioh 2 and its obviously broken I’m in shadow region mybuild is katana & dual swords 170 level divine +16 with 2300 attack and it always ends in an instant death I’m level 326
Even in Nioh 1 the transition in difficulty from WotW to WotD was crazy, its and the difficulty scaling from dotw to dotd in Nioh 2 is obviously intense as well. None of that translates to the game being broken.

Graces: appeared in nioh 1 only on ethereal (highest tier) gear, which we will get in the next dlc. In this game, we got what I call "light" graces on divine gear, that doesn't already have a set. These can be forged, but they're random. Star effects: are rare abilities, or the highest tier on already existing abilities. These can also be forged, but are extremely rare. They appeared as rare special effects in nioh 1. Gear can now go up to lvl 180, and I think +20. Can only acquire if u have dlc. Pretty self explanatory. Divine soul cores: are incredibly rare soul cores, that I have only seen appear on dream of the demon. These can rank up to level 20, making their effects stronger than regular cores. Only divine cores can go up to higher level. And have you figured out the demon parade scrolls? Hope that all helps, good luck

Yeah, he had a lot of tunnel vision on gear and builds... but really, ANY set is perfectly viable and can be used to great effect with a player's skill and creativity. No question he's good at making great builds, but the constant disregard for other options and playstyles was a disservice to many players. For example, in YOUR hands, Hachiman's grace could be every bit as effective as any build on the channel. It just matters how you use the tools you're given, not WHAT you use
Idk what u where reading about the texas labor law but it's a lie cause where i work we are required to take 30 min to 1 hour lunch break if working 8 or more hours, if not according to the policey they give us its bordline slavery and we get to take 15 min breaks every 2 hours.

i really liked Nioh at the beginning but at the end it started to get really annoying because you had to use buffs,de-buffs before every fight. i didnt wana play it anymore. from the looks of it Nioh2 is even worse. its such a shame i really liked it
using the buffs makes the game a lot easier that's all, i finished the game without having a clue about omnyo, used shurikens and kunais only and an odachi and whatever armor looked good
You don't have to use magic and such. There's many different playstyles in the game, all require some level of skill. There's a good few players who use a skill based playstyle where they don't use magic, just builds for survivability and such. They run low level weapons so they can combo on enemies and enjoy the game their own way. Pooferllama is a good channel to start with if you want to see what im talking about. He also has a lot of guides on the mechanics, the weapons, combo's, pressure, etc, etc, etc.
