Oliver! - 'What you starin' at?'

- A scene in Oliver! where Oliver first met the Artful Dodger.
I uploaded this because this is my particular favourite from the musical. Jack Wild's acting - GOLDEN. & Mark Lester has always been the sweet/lovely boy type. - Кино
I like the fact that Dodger immediately split the roll he pinched with Oliver, even though he’d literally just met him.
The roll looked fresh, hot and delicious.
Looks like he grabbed 2 rolls in one hand. Skillful work.
@@danielorr7124It was definitely one roll, he gave Oliver half of it
don't think Dodger was too hungry - he threw part of his roll at the sweeper lol
OMG i love the way he says "my names oliver, oliver twist"
i lov it 2 i lov de way he sayz it it zo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bond, james bond
‘Ain’t you never seen a toff’ is the best lol 😊 Great movie
"Respectable old gentleman"....definitely doesn't describe Fagin and his mates😹
When I was reading the book, seconds after he drank the Gin,he fell asleep. So I took that as that the Jew had drugged him.
@@cherrycherrycherrybon-bon2294 Or he was tired... or didn't know to handle alcohol.
It doesn't describe Bill Sikes at all, but Fagin himself and Nancy are fairly good people for underworld folk. At least in the movie - I've only read the book once and that was long ago.
For walking for the past 7 days, Oliver looks and sounds pretty good.
u too ;)
Emiel Grietens what.
wtf.. YeA boys will be boys.😂
IKR
Oliver was dubbed by a 24 year old woman /:
“He must be a very kind old gentlemen”
“Shut up and drink ya gin!”
At least he gives them gin. Probably safer to drink than the water :P
Dodger is briefly taken aback at the notion of Fagin being kind 😄
Jack Wild had a charisma here that defied the boundaries of age...hell, anybody could have a crush on him. I always will to the day I die. RIP my lovely!
Nature's Wild so wait he died? But hes a little boy!

Yes Jack Wild was a really great Dodger. Unfortunately he died at age 53. He will be forever missed

I watched this movie a lot as a kid. I had a massive crush on Dodger, I'm 16 and i still do.. That's about a whole decade I've fancied him for, maybe more!
same stop 😭 watch the new bbc show “dodger” omds
@@shab9933 aha I've been watching it with my dad. It's good but in my opinion nobody can beat Jack Wild as Dodger. Still a fun show to watch though
@@weezerluvr420 agreed he’s just iconic :)
Yeah I’m sad Oral Caner killed Jack bc I’ll never get to meet him in person. 😢
1:08 - Always loved that bit :D

"Better known among me more Hintimate friends as the Artful Dodger!" - love it.
RIP Jack x
Don’t you know these two probably broke a lot of hearts left and right- what cuties!
when I was younger I had such a crush on Jack Wild.....this was one of my favorite movies....It has put a impact in my life as a child...I even knew all the words to the songs.
00:50 "Oh, you have, have ya?" Jack Wild was amazing in this. Can't belive he is dead...
Actually am enjoying this movie more now than ever. Thanks for posting.
I loved Dodger as a little girl. He was so cheeky and adorable! And Oliver is such a sweet little boy. So cute!!
he is adorable and a very decent actor for a young child. this movie is the best!
He looks like he’s full of energy, not exhausted
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I miss Jack Wild! Every time I see him, it is disappointing to say goodbye to him! I wish I was alive earlier so I get a chance to meet him! Jack you will never be forgotten
Love this scene! How cute are these two!
This will be a perfect monologue for auditions for Oliver!. I really want to play Oliver Twist so badly!
I learnt all the lines in this scene when i was nine, watching it over and over! I bloody love it :D
omg i love jack wild as a kid. he is the best artful dodger. i love when oliver says that he's come to claim his fortune, and then dodger slowly looks at him like he's crazy!
"What are you staring at?"
"I think you're gorgeous!"
Oh Oliver, I so agree!
Oliver looked like he was in love- I was screaming when I noticed this.
In love with who?
@@rebeccaisabella9721 The Dodger
Yes I did
It's apparent that the people who have seen this movie and don't notice how "hintimate" their relationship really seems saw it back in the day, lmao.
when I first saw this as a kid, I was sooo in love with Dodger
BRILLIANT ACTING the JACK WILDE Was !!!!is And Will Always BE THE ARTFUL DODGER !!!Par Excellance ✌👌👍👏g

i love how every comment on here is about jack, he is so the star of the film! :)
"What you starin at?" Love this little accent!
Same
@Wolfdemonsmagic you think someone from 10, years ago will see your comment lol
@Pewdiepie Sucks
Lol I was tired so I didn’t even look how long ago it was 😂😂
@snottyxraygirl I agree, Jack Wild's accent sounds great which makes him having a great singing voice when he sang "Consider Yourself." Plus, with his accent saying that his name is "Dodger", I thought he said that his name was "Thonja." Plus, when he said "Fagin's" name, I thought with his accent he said that his name was 'Fagey."
@@pewdiepiesucks8515ههههههه🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂😂
Oliver looks so cute!
Timeless. Brilliance. Instant time machine to our childhood.
Dodger is my favorite

ME TOO-- MY ONLY REGRET IS THAT I NEVER MET HIM
+julie miller same 😭😭❤️❤️
How did he die?
Firstly this was in 1968, he became a millionaire at 18 and an alcoholic at 21 and then from then on had oral cancer throughout his life till he died when he was 53
Matt SM3 oh. How... Sad.
These two are so cute
ive mentioned this on a few oliver videos so may have already said it here, but my family are from the same town as Jack Wild, he was in the same nursery school class as my Mum, my Grandparents knew his Aunt and Uncle.
That's so cool
I LOVE HOW DOGDER TRIES TO FIND THE RIGHT WORD TO DESCRIBE FAGIN!!!! 😂
It's good to see such wonderful young actors - Jack Wild's autobiography was published last month. It's A Dodger's Life
Fantom Publishing announced that the paperback edition of Jack Wild's Autobiography is available now for £12.99. I'm hoping Amazon U.S. will have it eventually.
I love how he ays "hintimate" :)
I love him!!
Ha, I love this scene. I played Dodger in the play Oliver! just last summer. Boy, was it fun! Jack Wild's great.
He was 14 when filming began in June 1967.
i lve dis!!!
Jack wild is so cute!!!lol
Did u see the way dodger posed after he said, "Ain't you ever seen a toft?" he's SO cute! :)
I love the scene so much,i love Dickens.
my eyes! how green can you get?
👍👍 hope you’re all sat down after your big Christmas dinner ,that you can’t finish ,& watching this classic film in 2017. (rest in peace Dodger) 🎩
Oh, Jack Wild. *mourn*
I've always loved this movie, and Dodger is definitely my favourite character.
I always giggle at his truly outraged expression and bread-throwing when the sweeper forces them to get up. xD Hehe!
i love this film
Everything about this was perfect.
The words by Charles Dickens, the music by Lionel Bart, the Direction from Sir Carol Reed and the Actors !
What a fabulous cast with the perfect "Fagin" in Ron Moody, who is STILL acting 40 years later! and, of course, Jack Wyld and Oliver Reed who BOTH drank themselves to death, sadly. The rest of the cast was top class and includes one of The UK's finest EVER Actors in The "Undertaker" Leonard Rossiter ( RIP ).
Oliver was charmingly innocent too !.
Is it just me or is Oliver Twist checking dodger out
lol don't get me started

His accent is PERFECTION.

Me encanta cuando el Dodger le pega al que anda barriendo...era genial Jack!!!, único e insuperable.
All the actors are great
guys how hilarious was it when the guy was sweeping basically into them and dodger is all “watch it” and looks at him as he sweeps by and throws the roll as him LOL
thanks for this
the best artful dodger to date xx
jack wild is the greatest dodger ever!
Was!
Definately the best non-singing part of the whole movie. :D Thanks for posting!
Yes I love Charles Dickens' works too. And this scene is my favourite as well :-) Thanks for the nice words, dear.
A Christmas Carol ❤❤❤
I recently watched Oliver! and being the average fangirl I am, I have taken it upon myself to ship the two, they are so cute omg!! And Jack Wild is now my ultimate favourite!!!
I've never seen the movies, but I'm trying to find a way to watch them now because of a book called "Olivia Twist", which put me promptly on the path of shipping them. I'm reading Christina Pilz's book series centered around them and it's so good!
Jack Wild. Phenomenal!!!!!!
needed this
thx
I LOVE MARK!! :D
One of the reasons that Oliver! won Best picture of 1968 was because of Jack Wild but the acting award for supporting actor went to Jack Albertson instead!!!!!
Damn I Ship These Two xD
Nonce
I don’t ship them they have more of a brother relationship
jack wild was such a cute kid ~ and so natural & talented!!
the dodger and oliver look so cute together
The artful dodger is AMAZING!!!
I love jack wild!!!! 😍😍😍😍😭😭😭❤❤❤
What chu starin at? Ain’t you ever seen a toff?
Yes. How kind of the Artful Dodger X lovely he shared the food X with Oliver twist X we could do with more it these films X bring back some. Love to the world x
Oh goodness, Jack Wild! That Kid has got it made! The best part in the whole movie. I'd watch it just for him, but then the rest of it is pretty awesome too. He's got the best face on earth, and he's by far the best Artful Dodger ever!
ULTIMATE OTP MATERIAL!!
*doger talks to Oliver, gets sweeped*OI WATCH IT*throws his piece of bun at the sweeper and doesn’t even hurt him😑*😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😹

i read the book when i was 10 i really loved it........i want to watch this movie
They're so cute I just want to keep them!
The actor is Jack Wild.
This movie always seems to be dissed anymore...it didn't deserve the Oscar blah blah blah...Nonsense, this is a wonderful film from first moment to last...Superb in every way and definitely most deserving of any award it could receive.
Ah! Stan Shunpike conductor on Night Bus,Harry Potter. Whatchoo doing down there? Harry: I fell over. Stan: Whatchoo fall over for?
I didn't do it on purpose!
He’s smiling!
1:09 😂I'm dead
*Gor Blimey!* After this the Artful Dodger(Jack Wild) went on H.R. Pufnstuf became Jimmy and had magical flute named Freddy. Kept being pursued by _Witchiepoo_
Dodger is pure gorgeous and had such a good career ahead of him, so said he died rip Jack Wild💔😫xx
He didn't die as a child, he died in 2006 at age 53.
I love you jack wild in this
He's so awesome :)
Artful Dodger - he's the man!! After Roger Mooney, he was the best casted actor in the movie!!
I fancy the artful dodger I would just hug him, he is adorable!
To think this inspired the movie Oliver and Company
oliver twist you lil cutie pie!
Dodger is my favourite one in the movie and Oliver is good and the singing.
Fun fact Oliver isn't actually singing there's a woman singing it he's just miming it so it looks like he is singing
