3:16 is probably the part i think about the most in this song. something about how this feels so dramatic. it feels as if you"re falling through a broken window in slow motion and seeing the glass shards flying past you everywhere. It feels so satisfying
Watching this I feel so nostalgic, having been here since the "somewhat" beginning to see Melanie grow into the artist she is today makes me cry tears of joy. Shes doing so amazing and seeing her make music she loves makes me so proud and listening to it feels like a reward!

TUNNEL VISION Wrote this song while in Hawaii in February 2021 with Kinetics & One Love. We were surrounded by coqui frogs singing to us, the sound of rain hitting the roof, and pure connection. I wanted to make a song to describe the stage of moving through a tunnel of familiar hymns and imagery to ease the transition into the other side while also writing something with multiple meaning that people can relate to in a more earthly way. This song was leaked through a drop box hack the same year, and it took everything within me to not trash it. I couldn't rewrite a better tunnel song so it stayed.

Im a freshman in highschool (14 y.o.) and I play the violin in the school orchestra. Ive been playing for four years. yeah. i had to leave a group because i was ready to throw hands when a lot of people were saying that she was 'gross'. i told her that it was her aesthetic and that we all have differences, but they claim that it's not aesthetic, it's disgusting and weird and very triggering. i cant even start to talk about the other things they said. just know that they brought up the SA accusations, and that made me fume.

Wrote this song while in Hawaii in February 2021 with Kinetics & One Love. We were surrounded by coqui frogs singing to us, the sound of rain hitting the roof, and pure connection. I wanted to make a song to describe the stage of moving through a tunnel of familiar hymns and imagery to ease the transition into the other side while also writing something with multiple meaning that people can relate to in a more earthly way. This song was leaked through a drop box hack the same year, and it took everything within me to not trash it. I couldn't rewrite a better tunnel song so it stayed.

I’ve read that this is written about the response to The Bakery music video.
