- Can you beat Kingdom Come Deliverance while being a pacifist? Well sure, it is one of the achievements.
Henry does not want to kill anybody, but he sure is going to make certain that people feel the thunder from his fists. Poor people of Kingdom Come Deliverance, no longer a quick death will occur, but now a madman with fists will rain down upon you and smack you down constantly!
Time to beat kingdom come deliverance with no weapons, only fists of steel and Henry full of rage.
And surprisingly, the game does seem easier if you do not go around killing everybody...
I wonder if this was intentional by the devs? But here is part 1 of the two part series of beating the entire game with no weapons.
I would've released them all as one part, but goodness gracious did this take a long time to edit! Someone send me a beer!

I had a hip operation in October 2019 with a three month recovery time. I was able to pick KC:D on sale, and completed it before going back to work. I'm glad the RUclips algorithm has brought me to your channel as KC:D was quite a serious game in my opinion, but you've proven it can be extremely funny and entertaining! Might download it again and use some of your starting buffs!
I found that re-playing KCD after a year, made the game that much better. Because you know what you're doing but you also forgot how indepth the world can be, well at least in the middle of nowhere and you just want to go out hunting, not for money but just because you can.

I love how Timmy is referred to as "a great big ox" and a "collosus," yet, when I got to him, I was shocked that he was the exact same size as everyone else lol. I wish they made people other than sir Hannah different weights and heights
You know, I never thought about that, but you're 100% right on this.
Why is Timmy not "bigger".
We all probably met "bigger" people in life who are built like a brick house, but Timmy here was just another villager that Henry could easily put his arms around his neck.
Also same with Runt, suppose to be a mountain of a man, but is sort of unique looking yet not towering. Hmmm I will take a closer look sometime see whats up.
This is no easy task. You have one set of animation for males, females and each kind of animal. If you made NPCs different sizes, animation would not match, because the character would have a different shape. This would be the worst in the animations, whene parts of ther body touches.
@@helicalgoose There is a problem with translation. Specifically that the meaning of the sentence is completely different. It's actually suppose to be an insult. He is calling him a big idiot.
Ill assume they didnt have the money for animation and coding. But thats a good observation that i will now forever notice haha.

Translations are tough to come across.
I think the same thing is with the "accident" translation. Which is suppose to be a crime scene or something like that, but thanks for the heads up on that :D
There's a nice glitch I've discovered, if you talk to Reeky just after the cutscene before the fight with the bandits starts, you can tell him you're taking him to Rattay, which immediately transports you to Rattay and skips the fight altogether.

Great to see you back! Did you see my message, I found a second Traffic cone easter egg and chest (inaccessible to us mere peasants) if you fancy checking it out. Its in a Hey shed in the paddock just slightly south west of the farm house Zoul destroys and left his note and shield... Where you practiced pick pocketing the lady early in this video.

It was actually quite easy, I think it was only 15-20 beef stack to get up there.
After that I sort of started hunting the other towers in the land to see if I can get up into them. Sadly a few of them have floors that you can not stand in, or I was doing something wrong at the time.
But it is possible, and I think I put the footage in the one video about beef jumping tutorial. I have it sort of as a backup video if I start working too much overtime at work.
But yes, that is an easy grab. The items in that chest are not great, but as level 1 Henry, the items can be quite valuable. :D
@@helicalgoose So you stack 15/20 beef and let it fall over pushing the gate open? Or do you climb the beef stack? I got to the chest in the Lower Rattay Steeple using the latter.

Yup, going for a couple I never got before actually.
I am surprised how much blood lust my poor Henry has :P
But also I am surprised about how little murder you really need to do in the game. I thought the pacifist run would be much tougher since you can not defend yourself, but really it is not that bad so far!

Honestly, I was looking into a better way to "deal" with Sasau. Killing everyone is possible, but I much rather make everyone "disappear" :)
Still a work in progress, hopefully I can find the right kinks to make it worthwhile.

At first yeah but many things in the game can be worked around and it ends up just being a horse riding simulator
I didnt knew you can pick em all :D not that i´d wanted to but somnibulence is quite fun to me :D they are all fine unless you got anemia, brittle bones and dumbo perk at once :D

Your health is lower at the start running to Talmberg since usually you're already armored up from taking armor from the Skalitz guards.
Yah I keep forgetting that the ride to Talmberg is suppose to be a close. I think the last five times I have played I sort of "lost" all the cumans...I do not know where they could've gone ;)

2:46 i tried to save Theresa by sneaking behind one cuman, but the crouth button was next to the whistle button, so i ended up whistling and the 3 cumans charged at me. So if you do a pacifist run, you can distract the cumans by whistling and save Theresa

I am sort of surprise how much a hate rage the cumans have for Henry by just whistling :P
But then again, we all see later how much of a jerk Henry can be to the cumans.
You'll not believe what I stumbled up in the Woman's lot DLC, a Polaroid camera takes your pic as you approach it in the mines!
You know, I have heard it before but never seen it. So I believe it for certain! The Easter eggs in this games are crazy! I love most of them. :P
For Farming strenght: i dindnt tried yet but i saw that you can knock Out a Wanderer Put him in the middle of a River and then you can Punch him and hell stay alive
Is somebody gonna tell him that he can see his groschen amount in the lower left of the inventory screen...?

Also pretty damn hilarious how allied NPCs have to wait for knocked out enemies to get back up before they kill them. "Hey you, don't fall asleep when I'm trying to kill you."
I never knew that before with the knocked out NPC bandits or never noticed it.
I know if you take knocked out bandits into town and drop them in taverns, everyone gets up (the villagers) with weapons and starts circling the bandit who is still knocked out.
It was not until I had to sit through the edits of the video that I went like, the heck are all the NPCs doing? Why are they bugging out.

My personal favorite method to level pickpocket as well as stealth and archery is when you encounter bandit ambushes. If there's only one bandit I'll sneak behind and pickpocket as much as I can and then, depending on how I feel, I'll either do a stealth kill or just knock him out and leave him in the middle of the road in his undergarments.
If it's multiple bandits I'll sneak up and pickpocket as much as I can without alerting them and then back off a bit and put an arrow in their head and as it's an instant kill it doesn't alert his friends, rinse and repeat.
The ambushing bandits AI is a bit nutty.
Sometimes you can stealth kill all of them even when they're next to each other.
Other times they have enough moral fiber in their brains to know that Henry is a dangerous person behind them.
From what I can tell is that the bandits AI is focused as a script to occur on the road marking like the tree or wagon, or body they put out. Once you reach that circle they do their little lines and become aggressive.
So going behind them is just too easy since the AI is not even looking for you. Now this sort of breaks down once you start pelting them or get too close to the scripted area :P
I actually killed everybody in the Bandit Camp xD. Bow and Arrow and then running in and out of the Church. And Cuman camp just sneak and Knock out. Also i beat the Boss Bandit in one hit. No Helmet = no gud. One good sword swing and he ded.
I am always surprised how fast he dies if you get a good hit on him.
But then again, coming in there with level 10+ Henry, that bandit is going down like a sack of potatoes :P
Best way to make money from Peshek is to wait until he resells the items and then take money from chest. You get his starting 1k and grochen for all selled items at retail price...or you can rebuy them from him take all of the money from chest go to rattay and then sell them again to armorer wait for him to resell and rob his money and then steal everyhing from him and resell to peshek....absolute best way i use is to go to merhojed camp before 7am, poison everybody with 5 bane potions, steal everything of value which isnt too heavy (my horse can carry a lot), go to peshek sell everything to him..go to rattay, punch a guard, go to jail everyhing resets and repeat everyhing again hahaha only thing you actually need is bane potions, good horse and saddle...after couple of repeats i take all money from peshek except 10k so he can rebuy from me

Though I have not tested it out, I think if you just stuff peshek's trunk full of all the goods in Rattay, the game considers that his "value chest" and when the new store cycle comes around, it assumes that he bought all that, and his next groschen value goes through the roof.
If I was thinking of doing the "from the ashes" DLC again, I would just stuff his area full of armor/weapons non stop and let that groschen pile grow.
I think someone else got his pile to a million groschen or something absurd like that. With that sort of groschen Henry can just pay off all the bandits to F' off :P

Once you get past level 8 in each of those skills, everything becomes soooo much easier.
But without lockpicking it is sad times, but doable.
If you immediately start 'fisting' Runt you can get quite a bit of unarmed experience out of it before he clubbers you.
That is actually a good idea there.
Though he is quite dangerous for a little "fisting party". He doesn't like being fisted.

I don't know how realistic it goes with the time, but a "tie up" feature sort of like Red Dead 2 had would be great.
Stuff a bunch of bandits into a prison and collect gold. Speech check your way through to toss a few peasants into jail too because your Henry is evil
This game is very buggy even today but it was a decent game.
The more I play this game the more of the strange bugs come out.
I could've sworn that back in my first 200+ hours of game play that I never seen people falling through the floor.
Now it is just normal Tuesday to see the bailiff just disappear through the ground in Rattay.
19:40 I have knocked out one of them there, picked him up and carried him back over. Was taking too long for him to wake back up so I skipped some time but during that time he must have woken up and been killed. Seems to me the smart thing would be to keep him alive for questioning :D
Captain Bernard never seems to want to take his own advice :P
If you try to bring prisoners to him for questioning, he just has the general instinct to want to kill them asap!

I have the feeling Warhorse is proofing the next game by watching some of these videos. I am sort of scared to release more of the bugs I found just in case I could use them in KCD2 whenever it comes out :D

Question. I had a go to jail in Skalitz (butchered the city) but why am I still have the go to jail icon in rattay and sasau
For some reason the people in Skalitz are connected to their body doubles in Rattay and Sasau. Attack one, and the other one instantly knows and reports it to the guards.
It baffled me too the first time I went through, but that seems to be the case.
If you wanted no crime to be committed then you need to target just Skalitz no named villagers who should not have a body double, but again you will not know you committed a crime until you show up there which a bummer :(
@@helicalgoose yea so instead of entering Rattay on my way to the scribe who teaches Henry to read in unditz or whatever the name is. I figure look for where I am safe. (Yeah safe) and deal with that before I accept my jail sentence. Or maybe another massacre. Kidding.
I just finished a "virgin" run and aligned it with trial and error and i few others i missed, some of which i got when i loaded back to before vranik after i'd completed epilogue. Now im considering a "Merciful" run but i dunno if im ready yet, its like my 10th playthrough over like 6 years or however long KCD been out

Another advantage to leveling pickpocket at that location 6:40 is the lack of city guards. If your target runs off yelling for a guard, they eventually return alone. The guards are too far away. Another thing that seems to help if your target starts to follow you or watch you too closely, pick a few herb. I suspect the NPC are programmed to be less paranoid when Henry is picking herb. I don't know that for a fact but it does seem to work.
Picking Herbs or taking a bath the NPCs do seem to chill out.
I agree with you 100% that there is something up to make the NPCs go back to a baseline if you're doing other activities. Not certain what causes it, but its noticeable.
Haven't been able to put my finger on it quite yet.
There is another technique to make you pickpocket even faster, but it requires a bit of trickery/exploit at the start of the game to pull it off, but it makes NPCs where they never run away from Henry and you can just pickpocket to level 20 in no time.
I scrolled on my phone while I went from 1 to 20 in about 20 minutes haha
its confusing why divish says 'ill muster the men right now, ill send them with captain robard in command, would you lead my men right now?' its like.. sod off mate, dont tell someone you will send them off with a commander then ask someone to lead them just cuz they can leave before being mustered! (MUSTARD!!!!)

Sometimes I get the feeling that the dialogue was written by two different people.
I assume this might of happened with long development cycles of the game and they were like, heck with getting the voice actor back in here for that, just ship the game :P

I have gotten around that horse issue here. In the prologue, I don't take the horse back. I go back to skalitz on foot. The horse you were to take is still there and free to take without it being stolen or tagged as your property. However you can't whistle for it or store anything on it. All it really does is help you get around faster until the hunting quest is done.
You can whistle for the first horse until you get to Talmberg which is a bummer after that. But the biggest bummer is not being able to store things.
And getting around faster is what I need too! Walk is for peasants! :P
Steal the books at the scribe.
No books are safe with Henry around. Well, actually nothing is safe when Henry is around :P
You don't even have to tickle the Cumans to save Theresa. Just whistling for the pony while running past the scene does the trick. The Cuman that fell over and died had eaten your poisoned stuff. That depletes live points and they just die.
Yah, I always feel like I have to "bonk" one of those cumans to justify the gain in reputation.
Or either run them down with my horse :P
Does this mean.... the noise debuff only occurs if I failed picking lock? damn.. then this perk is really good.
Honestly if you're playing with Henry as being a less than reputable person, then this perk is the most OP perk in the game.
From the moment you can obtain it, you can try to pick very hard locks with little downside.
If this is Henry the Pacifist I don't want to know what is Henry the Warmonger
i remember sabotaging most the pribyslavitz camp, not all but most, and i still couldnt let it play out, i had to reload so many times and take out most of the archers even though i sabotaged all but one arrow stash.
Yah the archers can be problematic.
I do not remember if I showed it, but you can set fire to the hay stack and that brings the archers down from a high place and then your friends and smack them around, that is the only way I could've done this on Passive mode because they are a pain in the neck.
Does that kill the horse though
I can not remember what part you're referring to but, most often no.
The only time horses die is from stabs, shots, and bashes with weapons.
Punching the horse does not kill it, but give it a knock out, which will get back up after 60 seconds or so.
Falling off a cliff can be one too, but Henry usually dies in the process as well ;)
there's a perk overhaul that adds unarmed perks. actually makes fisticuffs more viable. i enjoy it. it also adds perks to archery which is nice. too bad nothing gets ride of the aim sway though.

The fist fighting in this game is more enjoyable than the Witcher 3 fist fighting, but with some unarmed perks then KCD unarmed combat just gets even better. Henry the Warrior Monk :P

Also, as I know you can increase unarmed skill in Skalitz by beating local cows, though it requires some time.
I was actually really surprised about that! I did not even know that was an option in the game until I talked to him again. Crazy how much detail is in this game even after playing it multiple times.
You can always beat local cows in Rattay too! Cows are a universal training buddy.

It is a fun one to use instead of the classic "kicked out" of the game I usually get when KCD decides it needs a nappy time.

I was not planning on rebuilding the village in the DLC so money was just useless for the most part.
Man, I’m trying a pacifist run right now and I think I ran over a rabbit or killed a chicken, so much for a perfect zero.
During the run I had to constantly check my kill feed to make certain that nothing died.
I ran over a pig and thought I killed it off camera, but luckily the sucker got up so I continued on!

Well if you know where it happened, I would reload and go back a little to save the "just in case".
Though if you're far enough along, please keep me informed if that is true.
I did not do hunting during my passive run just because I was too worried about any death counting against that achievement.
@@helicalgoose it’s on a hardcore all negatives pacifist run. Read online if I needed to reload or not when I found out. I’ll confirm if failed or not :)
@@helicalgoose Just completed my run. Except for that chicken and runt, no kills were done. And that was on hardcore all negs. So I am so glad that the animal did not count. :)
fun fact: horse ramming kills does not count towards the "people killed" statistic

I am very curious if that is a good way to get the merciful achievement, while still having a legit way of killing people.
The only thing that makes me say no, is that you still get charged with a crime if someone sees you.
Also you might have to wait a day for the stat to come in, I know that if you push an NPC to their death it takes a day or so for the stat to load in :/

But I do not think he "kills" but rather delays enemies not unless you get a perk attached.
Honestly, I never acquired the dog before, except on Theresa's DLC but other than that, I am woefully ignorant on that.
Dude so I’m trying to do a pacifist/virgin run on normal but every now and then when I choke someone out they freaking die have you come across this problem right now I’m farming unarmed from the executioner with a bunch of dogs and pigs I can knock out over and over

I suspected something like that was true, but with this game you never know.
The other thing that happens is if you damage someone with even your fists then something else kills them, you get blamed for the murder...so might be related.
The “poor us a drink” was a bit much
I do tend to go a bit heavy on things that make me giggle.
Do not know why I enjoy that line so much, but oh well. I have been cutting it back because I just do it a bit too much lol

As far as I can tell, you don't need to flip through all pages in a book, you get all the XP just by opening it.
I am pretty certain you're 100% correct. I think I just flipped through them just as a paranoid thing of missing out.
Then again, I do read the stories again here and there. They seem pretty good for short stories.
Now the monastery book can be burnt. That mission gives me nightmares. I do not need anything to remind me of it ;)

Truth be told, I have been trying to get into that castle for a long time.
Beef jumping only get me so far. I believe the only way into that castle will be going under then over. But I will have to install mods to allow me to check out the underground structures to see if it is possible.
I have no mods installed yet, but someday I will once I run through the list of items I want to go through. I really do not want to corrupt my old save files if I can avoid it at the time being ;)
But trust me, I am still trying to get into that castle. There are just so many invisible walls around, that I need more information before attempting.

I dont think you actually have to go to the sword fighting in Skalitz
I am not 100% certain but more like 98%. But I think if you go to your dad to start the sword, the only option is that you have to go back to do your sword fighting, Henry says he still has something to do.
I do not think there is a way to skip or not one that I know of.

This mission with Capon brought the fangirl out in me....hard not to think about brokeback escapades on a hunting trip when he's so damn handsome and tsundere, not to mention he even gets kidnapped like a pretty princess who you have to save 😛

I do have to re-watch this again sometime. Pacifism runs really make things much more difficult in the sense of not letting Henry reach out and slap some of those NPCs :P
I would love to see you trying any kind of playthrough, but without comiting any type of crime or any "cheesy" glitch, play normal and without crimes
I might do that someday.
The main reason I do not do it currently is that my editing skills and speech are not up to snuff to keep people interested. Well in my mind at least.
So, I sort of have the cheese options on to keep people interested.
But in doing so, really makes the game easy. Also most of the cheese has been ingrained in the way I play.
The no crime, but with cheese is something I could do too, that would be hard. Like no stealing, even off corpses oh jeez...

I tried to do achievements so I play hardcore mode with all negative perks and pasifist mode. Plus virginity and it is hella difficult. Omg

The pacifist mode actually sounds the reasonable way to deal with hardcore mode. Avoid fighting people in hardcore mode is a valid strategy. Now if you tact on the no stealing on top of that, then that is god mode there.
@@helicalgoose like Pribyslavitz fight was impossible. First you have to watch that you don't kill anyone, check that bandits doesn't kill every soldier and last Runt fighting. My moods every time I tried to do it:
"Omg I accidentally killed bandit!"
"Oh dear I couldn't kill Runt!"
"I only defended myself and now freaking bandit is dead!"
@@hansu989 I think all negative perks pacifist is not too hard, Pribyslavitz fight is much easier if you tell Morcock where Timmy lives, then enter the camp and sabotage it, sabotaging will take several attempts cuz you need to run away throwing poison into the pots without armor for increased speed and then hide in the river, for fighting Runt you need to poison your arrows and keep shooting at him while running around a wooden pole to dodge his attacks. The battle in Talmberg is different though, in hardcore your allies usually die quickly and shooting enemies in their legs with poisoned arrows takes too long, but I once managed to win it somehow when my allies died and it was me and Bernard vs. 5 mercenaries on the walls, probably the game has a scripted auto-win after 20 minutes or so, but in the other walkthrough it didn't work.
p.s. potions are very useful in some quests, so it's worth learning alchemy (and stealing all the recipes so as not to buy them)
I have been too sick this past week to respond to this, but I think you're absolutely correct on the all negative perk, pacifist run being possible and not too terrible for experienced players. :)
I think for people who have not gone through the game 2-3 times it might be a bit challenging since you think you need to fight or help fighting to win certain missions.
But like you said, a bunch of the fights are auto-wins after x-amount of time. And there are plenty of places to go and hide the corner to wait the time out :P

You know initially I was going to go through and do a murder spree with the fists or knocking people out.
But, really the game is pretty smooth for pacifist. I am surprised for the most part about how little killing you really do need to do in this game to beat it.
Though, there are times where I am tempted. Rescuing Hans Capon I had to do over because apparently if you knock out the cumans but they wake up when you untie Hans, the game will assume that you're in combat against them and Han Capon will lay on the ground and not talk to you.
No idea why, but I think they wanted me to kill the cumans at that point. I do not think the game expects you to run away from a fight like that.
