"What a steering damper does so let's start there, a steering damper is gonna dampen your steering." "Lets first talk about what the sweep valve does, the sweep valve adjusts the amount of sweep" DAMN fuck this guys good at explaining shit LMAO
I've got a 690 enduro and it's really twitchy at high speeds and in cross winds. The scotts steering stabilizer is a big help in those conditions although I didn't know about the sweep, I'll have to tinker with that.
Hello there, I've had mine for years. Well worth the investment. I do have a question though. As of yesterday, the left turn dial is free spinning unfortunately. Idk if someone messed with it while I had her parked outside of work or what. But now I can't set or adjust it to what I want. Is there a part I can replace? I do hope I don't need a new one.
You would need to reach out to Scotts directly for any replacement parts or repair work. Their contact info is on their site linked below. Hope this helps! -DrewZilla *www.scottsonline.com/
Shipping to Japan is usually around $50 US, but we do not have the Scotts Damper for the FZ-09/MT-09. We do have a GPR V4 Stabilizer for your bike though. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/gpr-v4-stabilizer-yamaha-fz-09-2014-2015
So Scott’s say there is two different models one for street and one for dirt is that correct?, so how do I tell the difference if I was going to buy a used one or even if I bought a new one? Thanks, I had a friend buy one off of eBay and it was a Chinese knock off but looked exactly the same, kinda scary.
I cannot help with buying used, but buying new from an authorized dealer like RevZilla will guarantee you get the appropriate model for your street bike. They're bike-specific, so you select your bike, and the appropriate model is made available. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/scotts-performance-steering-dampers

07 zx6r, no frame Drilling required. Uses existing frame holes in conjunction with tank bolts at the front
21 KTM 890 Adventure R also comes with a factory frame hole for dampers.

Man, I would like this on my Indian Scout...kinda of a cruiser/sports
The highspeed damper is a second system or just a corser adjustment ?
It's a second system/circuit of the damper. -DrewZilla

is a stabilizer and a damper the same?
+TheFreshprinceofcali Yes, steering dampers and steering stabilizers are the same thing. -DrewZilla
@@RevZilla i assume the stabilizer is better?
do I need anything else to have it mouted? or is this only a part of a greater kit?
MrRivii Each Scotts Steering Damper is bike-specific and includes all hardware necessary to mount it. -DrewZilla
RevZilla thanks :)
I'm sure China sell tons of these. Scott's price is a great example of a rip off.
It's called savage on eBay. Just got mine
I don't half to drill in fram
No, you do not need to drill your frame. -DrewZilla
RevZilla so why do you quote in the video that you have to drill into your frame?
Applicable in 2017 390 duke???
Unfortunately, no, this is not applicable for a 390 Duke. -DrewZilla
To bad there’s nothing for my bike
