i think that platinum is the best game to casually nuzlocke once you get the hang of it, not too easy, not too hard, and all of the ridiculous tools the earlier gens provide you with. black 2 is still my favorite overall, though, i think the boss team compositions never get too over or underwhelming.

@@grumpygengar22 the gallade with that movepool was a dirty move 😝 + I was expecting roserade due to the physical bulk of Bertha's pokemon. In the end, Gallade was better for Milotic + Flint too.
I liked the idea of Bronzong as a tanky steel type wall for toxic and screens but after watching the fights, I feel he wasn't as helpful overall.

I imagined Weavile giving the Terminator 2 thumbs up as it falls, as if encouraging you to pull it off, which I think is appropriate. It accomplished what it was meant to do, and now it just had to put its trust in you

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Gallade was at 115 of 159hp. If Garchomp sees the kill with all moves it chooses one randomly. So there was a 1 in 4 chance for a flamethrower that could have subsequently burned and killed Weavile even with the sash and that would have killed the run.
i severely doubt a nonstab flamethrower would be used on gallade, who has high special defense. garchomp's special attack is quite bad, even for gen 4 standards when power creep was lower.
Lvl 62 252+ SpA Garchomp Flamethrower vs. Lvl 60 52 HP / 0 SpD Gallade on a critical hit: 107-126 (67.2 - 79.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Possible damage amounts: (107, 108, 109, 110, 112, 113, 114, 115, 117, 118, 119, 120, 122, 123, 124, 126)
it would have needed to be max invested to kill on a crit, and i dont think the ai can detect burn damage landing a kill.
I didn't even think about the potential for burn. At the very least that could have maybe made ice punch not a guaranteed kill
You overestimate the damage of Flamethrower or you underestimate Gallade´s special bulk, Flamethrower isn´t even near of killing from that range, it could be only Dragon Rush or Earthquake on the switch
@@pikminman13 Thanks for the explanation. I never used gallade and I thought it was a glass cannon. But yes, because of the strong special defence the switch was always safe. Well played Grumpy.

@@grumpygengar22never mind, your team is terrible against Cynthia's Spiritomb. Weavile is your best option, but if Spiritomb got an omni-boost, then you may have lost
Are the spikes or points behind Gengar suppose to be its hair? Or is it its back…? I never noticed Gengar had that I thought he was a perfectly round blob.

It's kinda sad that two of the Elite Four members are just Surf fodder.
I really like Flint's Magmortar's ball capsule animation. Really cool how it looks like he's blasting fire from his arm cannon. It's something that you just can't recreate in 3D.

I was thinking that you could have brought in the Pelipper on Garchomp. It would most likely use Earthquake and if Pelipper knows Ice beam, it might have done the job without having to have Weavile take so much damage. But I might be wrong!
