‘Don’t correct me’ - Ange Postecoglou blasts Celtic press conference interruption

- ANGE POSTECOGLOU was happy enough with his team as they got their first Champions League points on the board against Shakhtar - but he wasn't quite so happy with the performance of his INTERPRETER.
The Australian - no stranger to a pointed exchange with the media - fired a few barbs in the poor UEFA man's direction when he interrupted one of the the Hoops' boss's answers to ask him speak closer to the microphone.
The Celtic boss - who was giving his post-match verdict on the match - shot back: "Instead of telling me what to do, can you just keep things really short so we can all get through and go out?"

It would be great if you showed this in context. This was the second press conference in a row where he was interrupted. Notice how the mic is right near his mouth. So it’s likely that the sound levels weren’t properly adjusted. The first press conference took an extremely long time, so it’s likely Ange wanted to get it done and get back to work. Ange is tough, but if people do their job well he is all good.
Well it's still not the fault of the interpreter, and the "don't correct me" was way out of line c'mon. Don't know about the first press conference but again I doubt the interpreter was doing anything other than repeating what was said, which is his job.

I did not like the manner in which Ange Postecoglou dealt with what seemed like
a reasonable question and even if he thought it was not,he should have been more professional in how he dealt with it. I found his response arrogant and rude

Celtic fan here, I always thought he was a d*ckhead with a bad attitude but everyone jumped on me when I said it.
It was funny at first then became embarrassing. There was no need for that at all and there are many similar examples. Be interesting to see how he copes with the English media who have than 2 teams to write. Before he left a guy asks him about leaving and gets a lengthy lecture about elite sport and focus. This kind of attitude has served him well in Australia and Scotland but English clubs are full of prima donnas. He has been undoubtedly successful in his career but I can see him losing the dressing room very quickly at Spurs.
