  • Chyna was a pioneer in wrestling, providing WWE with a female wrestler that could believably go toe to toe with the male superstars of the then WWF like nobody before or since. But for Chyna, real name Joanie Laurer, her life was filled with unhappiness, and she would never truly recover from her time in the wrestling business. In this wrestling documentary we explore the tragic life of Chyna.

      I liked her as a teenage girl. As a 40 year old woman, I see that overall she was not that good of a wrestler and her body was just as fake as Trish and sable, just in a different way.
      Women cannot naturally get musculature like that. She loaded on steroids.
      I can prove this by pointing out her cooter. That thing wasn't natural. That was from steroid use. That's a side effect of women taking large doses of T.
      Also one CORN scene, she had roid rash on her booty.

      How does one find the strength to overcome the pattern of betrayal that Chyna so clearly experienced from childhood with her parents to Triple H and WWE family that offered the security and stability that saw her thrive only to be betrayed again by the closet people. That would make any person question and doubt themselves. That's why it's so important to learn and to heal with therapy. Connect with yourself.

      @@brianpinion5844 You've fallen victim to weak mentality and what you haven't yet figured out is that your only ob in life is to continue to survive and those who understand this best figure out how to THRIVE, and the best way to realize that life is indeed a GIFT and NOT this weight to bear on your shoulders is to realize you create all the scenarios within your own head by dwelling and taking pleasure in entertaining negative thoughts.
      Just imagine if you placed as much emphasis on good, positive thoughts!
      It's just as easy to do that as it is to do what you've been doing. One should never think about ending one's own life because all you're doing is wasting not just your time, but EVERYONE else in your life who is deeply invested IN YOU! THINK about that!…
      No one NEEDS to be a part of your life. They CHOOSE to be so because you affect them in such a way they like and love you. Quit WASTING precious time doing nothing good, and START LIVING! Look at all the brighter things in life. I can assure you they far FAR outweigh the negative.
      I tell couples all the time, especially newlyweds to pay attention to how 85% of their time together things are fantastic and all is great, but WHEN a dumb little insignificant issue arises, it is BLOWN UP and EXAGGERATED and that one little moment BECOMES a huge deal FOR NO GOOD REASON. I challenge people to THINK… Why don't they place as much emphasis and make as big a deal of all the positive things in their lives as they do on the FEW small negative things? They always pause as they ponder it in their heads and it hits them.
      This is no different. There is bad or negative in almost everything in this life. but you have the power to choose to embrace the positive just as you've embraced whatever (I'm sure) trivial not so positive things. And if you do or have done drugs, those cause patterned depression imbalances that subside while you're using, but when you're coming off them and the anxiety builds from the physical effects of withdrawal, the immediate fix is to do more of that crap, so the cycle is never ending.
      Hope my words help you in some way. Today is just another day WAITING for you to notice many good and positive things around you!

      TheINQbs……You have no idea what people go through. Telling someone that they cause their own pain with negative thoughts is ludicrous. I used to have good, positive thoughts but life events took over. No matter how positive I was…and I was very positive at one time…..it made no difference at all in my life….none. One failure after the next and it’s obvious that the writing is on the wall……end it. There is no reason to stay alive just for the religious people in the world. They have no clue as to the misery of getting up every day knowing that your life will always suck. I have no way out. No amount of positivity is going to change anything for me. It’s not your life. You have no right to tell someone what to do with their life. Especially ragging on someone who wants to end it….as if you’re some perfect human being or your god. That’s it….you must think that you’re god.

    I just watched the A&E biography. Hers is such a sad story. One thing I noticed though - how her sister said she probably had mental issues she didn't get taken care of.
    That's so often what families of someone who goes down a wrong path say. Recently Nick Carter said it about Aaron. It's a simplification and justification for those closest to the person for not helping them. It's almost a cop out in a way, although that sounds cruel.
    Chyna wasn't mentally ill. She just shot up, then HHH left her, then she kinda tried to compensate for that by demanding more than she was worth and left to stand her ground and out of pride...and then her fall began, because she was emotional and fragile at her core. And she just never properly repaired herself, but she cried and felt right when Mick for example hugged her.
    So this is to anyone who has someone close in a similar situation - if you're thinking "he/she has mental issues she needs taken care of", no, they need understanding, love and support. And no judgment. From someone close they know is kind. Get that for them ASAP if you can.

      IN RESPONSE TO THE QUINTESSENTIAL: Chyna was hurt by Paul and Stephanie's off screen relationship when she discovered the letter in Paul's briefcase. I would daresay Paul and Stephanie left it there so Joanie could find it; telling Joanie about the relationship with Stephanie could have resulted in physical injury to either Paul and Joanie if not both. Not an act of cowardice, smart thinking.
      Chyna fans seem to miss the IMPORTANT FACT Paul wanted children and a family whereas Joanie Laurer didn't. I suppose it's cruel that Paul couldn't put his feelings aside and wait for Joanie to decide when they would start a family, right?
      Joanie Laurer had a boyfriend/lover that she working out with for six days a week. When Shane O'Mac offered her a contract, she took off quick, fast and in a hurry. Isn't funny how that relationship ended with no mention in this presentation? And for the Chyna fans, she dumped her boyfriend just like Paul dumped her for a more promising future.
      People fall in love and then fall out of love and MOVE ON. All the time Paul and Stephanie spent together, did she think a mutual attraction wouldn't develop?

      @coachcarter8238 Год назад +1

      You gotta understand. Vince wanted her to be WWE Champion at the time. She was on her way to making history, and could've gotten paid handsomely. Chyna is truly the only woman Vince has considered to being the WWE Champion, but she rejected that for Playboy and had the nerve to demand more money. The fame got to her head, so Vince understandably reasoned that if she was going to demand more money from him (kind of like Jeff Jarrett and Warrior did), he was going to have to get rid of her. I didn't like how he did that, and I still feel it was a bitch move on his part. I also understand that if he was going to let someone like Warrior go for demanding more money from him, what would make him keep Chyna, and what would make her so special? It was an easy decision on his part.
      Sable, on the other hand, was Vince's bitch behind closed doors, and was truly only there for her looks, not her wrestling ability. She wasn't that good. Truthfully, I never really liked Sable anyway.
      Last point, yes WWE screwed her over, but she also brought a lot of her problems on herself. Had she made better decisions and actually rejected the drugs and alcohol (and Sean Waltman... I felt he contributed to a lot of those issues), then yes she'd still be alive today.

    I met Chyna in 2012, while working on the film, White T. She was very sweet and professional, and I was lucky enough to have lunch with her. Maybe it was just a good day for her, I don't know. It broke my heart when she passed.

    Now it all makes sense, Chyna didn't want kids, so HHH moved on to somebody who did.

    Miss you Chyna, wished you had been strong no matter what you would still be here today. WWE has never been the same since you been gone. When I watch WWE female wrestlers there is always someone missing and that is you. Greatly missed. Broken hearted.

    Chyna vs Rhea vs Rousey in a triple threat would be a dream match. I bet if she was still alive she'd still have it

      @coachcarter8238 Год назад +2

      I don't know about that... The latter 2 you just mentioned are still a lot younger than Chyna would've been right now, and it would've been a sloppy match to see. Only one of those women can actually wrestle, and I'm not talking about Rousey.

    Chyna was one of my favorite wrestlers when I was a kid. I think she's so beautiful. I'm saddened by how she was treated and how her life was cut way too short. I hope her soul finds peace. This world didn't deserve her. We should've cherished her better and tried to help her before it was too late. Rest in paradise Joanie you will always be the ninth wonder of the world.
