They get away with to many mistakes in the LEC
Yeah. They're too good for the region which is also their downfall in international stage. I mainly watch LCK but I believe some western teams can compete too. It's all about the environment. When you're in an environment like this, where mistakes aren't important and doesn't punish you, you're doomed.
They did not play bad game 2, don't be blinded by the "gold lead". And game 3 was probably a bit relaxed, which is I agree, not a good thing for improvement

The advantage is that you play less games, so the other team has less to work with to study your plays and come up with a strategy to counter you. Conversely, since the other team has to play more games, you have more time to find flaws to exploit in their strategies. This advantage has no meaning if you manage to absolutely throw all your games where the strategy you came up with gets you a huge lead.
At one point I was watching this series, Noah was like 4-0 as Ezreal. I looked at his facecam and asked myself "Is he Him? Will he carry this?" Something in my gut told me, no. He is not that guy. Anyways. FNC better step up because G2 needs to be challenged.

@@TpDgreat ok, let me rephrase. Personal bounty is okay-ish (when it works ok, getting a bounty on a 0/2/1 adc because you're 50cs ahead sucks). It's objective bounty that I find toxic, it transcended the "comeback" mechanics, and now there are teams that basically lean on it for a guaranteed win. This has been the theme for the entire tournament. Teams that won were often exactly those that leaned on that objective bounty to not get even (how you would expect from a comeback mechanic), but to get 5k ahead from 5k behind before bounties would expire. It's overtuned and must be taken back to the drawing board.

That is less "lean" and more of "exploit" of this mechanic. And what's even more disgusting is that the counter to this was to not press an advantage. There used to be jokes of a game where one team would ace the other in a dragon pit, only to ignore the dragon! All because dragon advantage could trigger objective bounty at deficit as low as 2500, and carry the triggered team for almost +10000 until they are 7k ahead. Current iteration seems to put less value into dragon adv, but G2 definitely knows something, looking at how Yike would just walk out after taking 1 grub even though it was safe to take all.
