Basic salary should be at least 1 lakh. As a graduate student in US I used get around 1.5 lakh net income per month. As a scientist that increases to at least 4-5 lakh per month.
1.5 lakhs in US is useless.. you have to live paycheck to paycheck... 90000 in India puts you in top 10% richest people... you don't have to pay for your child education and parents medical bill, you get subsidised canteen. so quality of life is waaaaaay better than American graduate.
@@sadenb you have no clue about life people in ISRO I have seen them in person...bmost people have luxurious life style.. they go on a vacation... Have own house... Make their children study in foreign. Scientist do earn 3-4 lakhs while they retire. This is ridiculously high salary in india. Scientist, IAS/IPS are overrated... To enter these jobs you just have to memorize write that's all... Entrepreneurs contribute more to this nation compared to scientists... If you ask me scientist are paid for what they bring to table. Even in country like us scientist earn less than people working in Microsoft etc...

Regarding salary and wages govt.providig very heavy salary to coop. Sugar mill and in government oil co. Here peon and sweaper getting around rs. 60,000.00pm,clerical rs. 70,000.00 pm to 150,000.00 pm officers 1,00,0000.00 pm to 5,00,000.00 pm
