It’s important to use the add customer instead of add note because you can collect customer data. You can then look at past orders, make notes for no-shows and do text marketing.
Oh question: did you buy your equipment or does Clover give you rental etc and can the equipment be bought on Amazon? I'm trying to figure out what POS system is better for my food trailer. Thank you

@@cheftriplez9110 do you know where it is located in the cash log tools in clover? We have the physical receipts but it does not show on the cash log for the entire day. We are looking at the total for the day but it is not appearing. 2 customer orders who paid with apple pay are not showing up.
I just got my first job I am trying to figure out if someone pays with cash let’s say the orders $10.62 and they give you a $20 does the register have you type the amount of cash they give you and automatically tell you how much change to give them?
Right, so unfortunately, the system does not have a future order feature. What we normally do for future order is to place it in at the time order is taken, then immediately write on printed ticket “pick up” or “ready by” time and personally inform kitchen staff. Our kitchen staff would then set “future order” tickets in its place, separate from “live order” tickets and prep it closer to the set time. Hope that helps!
When cashing out, you would just be taking out the cash sales for the day (found under reporting). For us, the starting cash-in money stays in the drawer (only the cash sales withdrawn)
It's funny how a company holds a small companies money and not release the funds that belongs to the company for no reason putting some small locally owned businesses at risk of closing. Companies like this should be federally investigated. I think everyone should get the word out on these guys and warn others to not use their systems until they start following moral legal and ethical business practices. Some businesses out there I just trying to survive and some that did make it through covid using whatever resources they could to survive and then they have a point of sales system in place like these guys who are like those people that steal catalytic converters off your vehicles, they look innocent at first doing nothing wrong and when your back's turned they steal right out from under you. Shame on you clover, shame

Can you color code the stations area or table so distinguish the areas
No unfortunately, no color code feature that I know of

Under Reporting, it falls under credit card/debit card depending on the type of card the customer used. Hope this helps.

Can you program any thing like for a small engine repair shop - fuel sales ect ?
I’m not sure about that, ours is the counter service/restaurant program. I would check directly with Clover though.
How do you get tips out to your employees?

Can the currency be changed or it is always in US Dollars?
Depends where you bought it. If you bought your Clover in Germany, it’ll be in €. If you bought it in the UK it’ll be in £.
