I agree. I wash/bleach my rags and my mop heads in the washing machine. You don't have to use paper towels if you don't want to. I have some cheap rags or I also use torn up old bath towels.
I thought you weren’t supposed to use a scouring powder, like Comet, on sinks or bathtubs that had a shiny glaze finish, because they are too abrasive and will eventually wear the glaze off, and they will start looking dull.
Comet is the best cleaner I have found in cleaning the bathroom

I started using it when I heard Jill and Tawra talk about it a while back. It’s good stuff and cheap!
I wonder if that Me Clean foaming bottle can be reused/refill ed when its empty? I mostly use vinegar & water witha squirt of dishsoap & some lemon essential oil in a spray bottle for almost everything.

10 days without cleaning the sink is a long time and it still looks cleaner than mine an I clean every other day!

You should be very careful about mixing cleaners. Can form a toxic gas.
Yes I happen to know that ammonia and rubbing alcohol are ok to mix and bleach and ammonia are not. I did NOT recommend anything that will create toxic fumes.
@@LivingOnADime I was talking about when you used four different cleaners on the same sink at the same time.
I have no doubt that Comet did a very good job, but I won't buy it because no matter how much I rinse, it leaves grit behind.

tried it before doesn't work as good as my homemade and 10x more expensive.
It's cheap here. Was a dollar a bottle at dollar stores. Got a gallon for about 5 dollars.
Newer Comrt formulations have something in them. Letting moistened Comet sit a bit works better than barely moistened Comet followed by scrubbing.

I've only used Dawn power wash on the diesel pumps at work. For diesel it's the best. Not many need to clean diesel pumps, though. Lolol
Oxyclean Foaming bathroom cleaner is awesome for the Bathtub grime, my husband works in the trades and gets grease and grime all over.
I need a showcase of how to use one paper towel on the toilet because I am using at least 5 🙈

Some germs are good and helps us build our immunity to things.
We are on a setic tank so try to avoid antibacterial and disinfectant things. Until 2020, we did use rubbing alchohol every so often; enough to be damp, not wet, then air dry. Since then, we got a bunch of hand sanitizer VERY cheap and have been using it where we think we can get away with it as a rubbing alcohol substitute. When folks are sick, I use some bleach to gomeith.
We have a septic tank and I never thought about that🤦♀️

You guys don't mix bleach and ammonia. A friend did that and had to wait out the fumes.
I usually use just a wet nagic erase on sinks.
Had the same concern; checked to see if anyone else had posted. Was concerned when cleaning sink with homemade and then comet.

Ammonia is the degreaser and cleaner.
Help me with the math…. How do you only use one roll of paper towels A YEAR if you use 2 every day you clean the bathroom… 2 days a week…

I don't use 2 every day. Also that's an estimation...maybe I use 1 1/2 rolls some years but it's not the 1-2 rolls a week a lot of people use.

Not even trying to split hairs (though I realize now it totally looks like I am!!!) I just always assumed you used a rag for all cleaning so it kinda threw me for a loop when you said about using paper towels.

It's basic chemistry. NEVER mix bleach and ammonia but the other stuff I used is just fine.

I would like to know if anyone has quartz countertop with drop in sink in bathroom. If you do, do you find grime or mildew forms easily under the rim of the countertop by the sink because of humidity or whatever in bathroom?
I’m in process of remodeling bathroom and love quartz but am really wondering if the rim by the sink is going to be on ongoing cleaning problem. Cost is none issue as small vanity.

I like using tub and tile it’s about six dollars and it’s concentrated so you get six spray bottles and I have rust bad
If you have a septic system you should not use anything with antibacterial. They do not recommend to use bleach cleaners.
I have never heard this before. I'm not a huge anti-bacterial girl but I do have a septic tank. Can you explain to me you shouldn't use antibacterial if you have a septic tank?
I had a septic tank for years with no problem but then I didn't use bacterial everything either. I bleached a load of clothes once a month or so cleaned with disinfectants but didn't use much so it wasn't just all washing down the drain. I think if you use a reasonable amount you're fine but that's just me.
I grew up having a septic system but, the newer septic systems have a lot more restrictions.
Antibacterial cleasners and other chemicals kills the good bacteria.
I'm not here to cause trouble. I'm just trying to let others know.
Read the ingredients on the dawn. It has alcohol in it, disenfect.
It does but I'm not sure it's enough to disenfect.

I'm not actually surprised by your results. I've used your cleaner for awhile and thought it was better than anything. Now I've got to convince my husband to STOP buying other things my he loves your window cleaner though. That is the best!!!

Will never understand how ppl dont get the combo of baking soda and vinegar neutralize each other.
The vinegar is to break down hard water spots and the baking soda is to soften the water. It has nothing to do with combining them to do something.

Yes after a minute or so, there is no longer vinegar and baking soda in that homemade cleaner.

For me the dawn spray works best but you spray on and leave it sit for 5 min.
