One tip only for you :) next time you could start the tour from the clearance section .. I had found good bargains there for half price 😮. Another tip they have a buy back option I had some old furnitures and they bought it from me I got a gift card to spend there in IkEA . And they recycle ♻️ your clothes as well you can leave your old clothes for free instead to have another tour to the charity shop.

I don’t know where your clearance section is located but at my local store the clearance section is next to the tills. You have to walk the entire store by a pre-marked out route, then pick up items you want from the storage shelves and the clearance area is literally right at the end. You wouldn’t be able to go there first unless you want to walk the entire store, then leave, then walk round and go back in.
It’s nice to see you an Luke looking around ,I thought the foot stools was expensive an not that nice .I painted my kitchen in sage green it looked bran new ,but you need the cupboard paint .Thanks for taking us around with you lv Ann uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
I LOVE these videos! They are like Queer Eye for the IKEA Guy! You two should have a show together. Luke needs a thick Billy! 🤣 That sage green kitchen was beautiful!
I love an ikea trip. I agree footstools are expensive. I have painted fabric footstools I have picked up second hand. Even an ottoman. An up-cycling idea for you. Everyone thinks it will make it crispy but if you buy the right paint and the fabric is not textured, you get a butter leathery finish.
The round wicker footstool you mentioned you thought the cats would like, I showed to a friend last fall and she bought for her cat along with a sheepskin type rug to go in it. Lol
We bought our kitchen in South london from IKEA over 25yrs ago,we have since moved abroad but it was the best kitchen I’ve ever had, real quality and value for money, still miss it!
I always love watching customers walk around and listening to their comments. I love seeing the different articles that are in England versus the USA.❤
Thanks for the look around ILEA without the long walk ! The clothes dryer at the very beginning is one of the best things I ever bought at IKEA. Occasionally I used to work in IKEA doing Children's Crafts during holiday times. I would be based in the café and one of the perks was free coffee, wonderful, I couldn't sleep for days after a session there
Hi. The flappy shoe storage is brilliant for storage other than shoes as it takes up very little space. I have a white set of three vertically and I keep my bed clothes in them. You can have duvet covers in one, pillow cases in another and sheets in another. I also have another set that I keep my hair drying stuff in and other assorted toiletries. They are much narrower than drawers but you can fit so much in. Really recommend if space is tight for all kinds of storage options. 👍👏👏
It’s good that you can get the bus to that IKEA but you’d struggle getting home with your flat-packs. I redid my kitchen last year ( after 25 years) and I’ve gone for sage green similar to the one you were looking at. I chose pewter colour handles and I’m really pleased with everything.
I've never been to an IKEA. There! I've said it! And, like in the old TV Times advert (showing me age) " I never knew there was so much in it! " Thanks for taking us around - it still seems good value so no wonder it's so popular. On the strength of your very interesting and informative video, I might just get myself to visit one now! Cheers!
My first IKEA furniture was bought for me in the big fire sale back in 1970 in it's first department store, when my parents and 8000 other people queued up there to do a bargain. I must have visited IKEA hundreds of times since then.
Hi Mr C, I wish we had an Ikea store in South Africa. My favourite item is the desk mounted against the wall for saving space. Your blind looks very stylish and love the colours of the sage green kitchen cupboards
Oooo I’m going to get those magnetic blinds for my kitchen I had paper ones before they looked very smart but paper blinds steamy kitchens don’t go well together x
I have an old foot stool that I bought years ago from Sunday Market in Belgium for €1 . I'm going to up-cycle it by adding a new fabric to it. Everything is expensive to buy. Love your videos ❤️
Hi Mr C, thanks for the walk around Ikea, i'm currently at home recovering from Pneumonia and cant go out at the moment, so really enjoyed seeing what's new in store. Those magnetic blinds were a brilliant design, and the sage green kitchen was beautiful!
Those magnetic curtains are brilliant, I haven't seen them before! The shoe cabinets are actually pretty sturdy. We have a Hemnes one in our bedroom that we actually use for socks/underwear and the 9 billion belts my husband owns haha. For that it works fantastically and the slim profile works well in our room! But for shoe storage I don't find them that great either. Maybe if I had smaller feet, but my giant shoes don't fit very well in them. Those Nissafors trolleys are also fantastic! I have two of them in my project room for supplies. They price on them jumped enormously though! They were 20€ here when they first came out a few years ago! OK apparently I have a lot to say about Ikea, I think I'll stop now 😂😂
I have the cheaper version of the shoe cabinet in our small town house entryway and it basically holds the pair of shoes we're currently using for the season. It keeps the entry way clear, especially with little kids shoes. And the top is a perfect drop zone for keys, etc. Extra shoes are in the front closet and off season in the basement.
Mr. C and Luke, first time I have seen your videos. Really enjoy the companionable chatting between you as find different things. I liked what you pointed out with alternative uses, like the pot stand / bird bath. It great that you keep value for money in mind for us. I’ll remember to pack a banana next time I visit IKEA, their restaurant, when busy is overwhelming. All the best to you both, a very enjoyable vlog.
Hey Iwan, Fika is actually tea or coffee with cake. Lots of cake traditionally. I’ve never heard of ‘cookies’ or biscuits. But it maybe a more modern version?
Big proponent for the shoe cabinets. We have both the cheap and more pricey versions you showed. The cheap one has been in service for more than 10 years now and the pricey one for about 7 years and they are both still going strong. I love that you can chuck your shoes in there and close it off, which creates a neat entry area. Also, keeps smells trapped in there....
Cannot tell you how many times I said out loud "ooh, that's nice..."😂 Everything you pointed to would have been my choice too! Love the blind😍 what a great idea to have magnet fastenings. I made roman blinds for our last home, they're easy enough but fabric is so costly then the fittings and dowels are needed, pfft, you've got the right idea, good old Ikea.🤗
Looks like you and Luke had a good look around in IKEA. I’m still looking for a new couch and love seat. Our house is decorated in coastal colors and I want to make sure I make a wise choice as the furniture prices have gone sky high, like everything else has, here in the USA. I love the magnetic shades you found. I can’t wait to see where you hang them. Have a great week. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida 😎🦩🌞🦩😎
Don’t purchase the Kivik sectional. The cushions aren’t attached and they slide around constantly. Your back will be hurting if you spend much time on it. It was to large to try and return so sold it.
I'm Team Wooden Hangers. I like air between my clothes. Also, the high end stores use wooden hangers. You can hack these with a rubber stamp to make it look more upscale! At any rate, whatever hangers one chooses, always make sure they're uniform. That alone makes any closet look more elevated and more organized.
That was a mega tour of Ikea Mr C. With regards to the shoe cabinets, my daughter and son-in-law bought one a few years ago when they moved into their new home (a new build) They got rid of it and sold it on, 6 months later. They found that they weren't using it and shoes were just being taken off and left in the hallway. They now have slatted shelves for everyday shoes... and they remember to take 'special shoes' back up into their bedrooms for the rest.
Hi Iwan 🙂Love your channel etc but I must tell you something that I’m surprised no one has told you before bless you. A canapé is something you eat. A canopy is a cover from the weather etc. So in ikea you were looking at a possible canopy (canopee)🥰
15:50 I have one of the IKEA shoe cabinets. First I bought one and it was such poor quality one piece just snapped in my hand as I was assembling it. Secondly I bought a more expensive one and it fits perfectly in my hallway. I’ve had it three years now and it had had no problems. I keep all my shoes and boots in the bottom section. It holds about 10 pairs (The same design inside as the one you were looking at). In the top section I have put all my bags. And there is a little drawer on top where I’ve put gloves, hats and sunglasses. I changed the little handles for some crystal looking ones to jazz it up and at some point I plan to paint it or decorate it just for fun.
Love your vlog, so nice to listen to someone from England. Some nice things there so now I have the job of seeing if they do them in Murcia, Spain!!! Keep up the good work.
I'm going to IKEA at Leeds tomorrow it's the nearest one to me. I only want a few items but no doubt I'll come back with the car loaded!!! I first shopped at IKEA in 1984 when I was working in Jeddah Saudi Arabia.
We have used Besta units all round our lounge as low storage butted up to form a L shaped unit to take our huge TV made some with open shelves ,some with push drawers and couple cupboard doors in oak with gloss white
Double Trouble out and about at Ikea! Great way to start my day!! Lots of interesting things. My only concern with some of the shelving is the sturdiness. I've bought cheap and regretted it. The magnetic roman shade is quite interesting. No cables/strings for kittens to get caught in. I'm not sure about using it as shade in the garden - it would depend upon the material. And, yes, I'm loving that sage green color, too! Looking forward to the haul videos. :D
Oh crumbs I HATE Ikea but I need to go and get 1 of those large deep display frames. I have a poppy wreath from my hubby's funeral and I want to display it. I've been struggling to find a frame large enough, I would never have thought to check Ikea so thanks Mr C. I hate going to Ikea though, too big and too busy but I will have to visit!!
I'm sorry for your loss Trish, what a good way to remember your husband. IKEA do online ordering (in UK anyway) for lots of their lines and delivery is really cheap if the item costs less than £15, worth checking!
I have the chair phone holder! It's great for when I want to watch a RUclips video on my phone whilst having a soak. Before, I'd just been balancing my tablet in the bath rack; unfortunately it overbalanced once and fell in the water. I'm now tablet-less as it never recovered.
Really enjoyed your tour of Ikea especially the banana break! 😄 There are so many good bits to buy and I now can't wait to visit our store and maybe buy that wall desk 🙂
Thanks for taking us along Mr C. BTW Aldi have small gazebo for £99 and B&M have parasol for I think £40 if you are looking for something for the balcony garden 😊

That was so much fun! Thank you for taking us along. I saw quite a few things I liked. I was planning a trip to IKEA tomorrow so it was nice to see things I should look for while I'm there.
Now I need to plan a trip! So many great bits in Ikea. I have the slimline shoe cabinets but don't use them for shoes. They are excellent document storage for small spaces. I have a tonne of folders in them with bills/receipts etc. When I moved house without furniture, I got two slim Lack tables as interim storage. Later I turned them into an end of bed laundry bin/bench. I used the tops as the top and base, and the two thinner shelves as side panels. Added hinges for a lid and used four corner legs, and another two for additional side support. I then padded the top and covered in velvet fabric. Much cheaper and great fun hacking! 😁

Hi Mr Carrington a great come shop with me at IKEA. I do like the Hemnes shoe storage because you can store a lot more shoes in it. I do like Greenwich IKEA it’s well set out and close to me. Have a good day.
In my local IKEA (Exeter) the restaurant is often busy but there always seems to be plenty of seating once the food has been purchased. Thanks again for posting.
I’m really fussy about colours of furniture etc & hate anything dark, especially black & brown. I mainly like white. I’ve got a white Ikea kitchen table in my lounge & dining room. They look great. I also have a small yellow otterman. (Sp) I store my cotton sheets in it that I put on my settee during hot weather. It’s great.
Hello Mr.C. Great video. I love Ikea but don't get to visit too often as it's a blinkin' nightmare to get to from where I live. Traffic on the Motorway between here and there is like a car park some days. BUT ... if there's something I really really want, I will weigh up whether it's worth the delivery charge, I did this 'weighing up' a couple of days ago and decided it was worth the charge for what I wanted. I ordered a Lubban trolley table with an inbuilt storage basket below the table top. It's arriving tomorrow! SOOO excited. It's for in my living room, next to the chair where I like to sit to watch TV. I needed something which could easily roll out of the way when needed - and the Lubban fitted the bill to perfection! *Really* enjoyed the walk around Ikea with you and Luke. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a blessed rest of your day ~ Cobs. (GB)

We have the old shoe storage unit. It is just inside our front door. We keep most our shoes in it. We have changed the handles. It is very handy
Loved watching this, hope the feather pillows were ethical though x
Love those Pat work curtains
Hi Iwan thanks for the tour. Some lovely things. Looking forward to seeing what you bought. Thanks Gale. PS denim jacket looks great on you🙏
I’m really fussy about colours of furniture etc & hate anything dark, especially black & brown. I mainly like white.
I’ve got a white Ikea kitchen table in my lounge & dining room. They look great.
I also have a small yellow otterman. (Sp) I store my cotton sheets in it that I put on my settee during hot weather. It’s great.
Thank you for sharing with us. I'm planning to go ...
Thank you, this was fun.
Hi guys! Liked the Esseboda? sofa. x
Liked the blind the canopy idea was good if using it outside most outdoors shops stock waterproofer spray which would help it last longer
Hi we have the shoe cupboard and it great get a lot of shoes in it xx
(GB)
I bet you could make one of those blinds, even if you glue instead of sewing it x
