Hey, have you all heard of the new Celebrity Circus on NBC? Sounds pretty similar. I used to love these specials!! The new one has Rachel Hunter, Wee Man from Jackass, Christopher Knight from Brady Bunch and several more. Looks like a lot of fun. According to NBC site, it starts June 11th at 9:30/8:30c.
The only other performer..that I can think of..that worked with animal(although she worked with the wild ones..Lions,Tigers and Bears)is Linda Blair..she did that on one"Circus Of The Stars"tv special.
I always remembered her doing this a wearing that out fit.
She really does look nice.

I know that it was broadcast in 1979, but that's it.
